Overwhelmed

Aluna POV

"Drink this"
Jace said opening a bottle water giving it to me.

"I'm not drunk Jace, I admit I'm a little buzzed but not drunk."
I said rolling my eyes.

"Buzzed or not, you are a pain in the ass."
He said taking a deep breath.

"I didn't mean to go off on you back at the hospital."
"I'm just overwhelmed, coming back home just brought back lots of memories,"
"I also lost my parents a few years ago here in LA in an accident."
"They are actually buried at this cemetery we are approaching,"
"can we please stop a bit?"
I asked looking at him.

"Sure."
He said taking a deep breath signal Dave to pull aside.

"Listen carefully Aluna, I'm not a fan off cemeteries so I'm leaving you with Dave,"
"take as much time as you like,"
"I will meet you at Joe's place."
"When you are finish Dave will bring to Joes house okay?"

"Understand."
I said getting out the car followed by Dave.

"I'm sorry to hear about your parents,"
"How old were you when they passed?"
Dave asked as we approached the grave.

"I was 16."

"Wow that must've been so painful loosing both your parents at the same time."
He said.

"Yes it was."
I said letting out a gasp as I saw fresh flowers on both graves.

"Do you have family members here in LA?."
Dave asked.

"No it's just Joe and I."
I said reading the sender info on the card attachment to the flowers realizing it was from Ryan.
He probably still has the flowers delivery people send flowers to my parents grave or he probably doesn't even know they are still doing it.

"Is this the same Ryan that Theo hate and wants you as far away from?"
Dave asked taking the card from my hand reading it.

"Yes it is but what exactly did Theo tell you about Ryan when he hired you?"

"He said that we were hired to keep you safe from Ryan,"
"Theo said that Ryan is obsessed with you and wants to hurt you.0

"There is so much more to the story than you think Dave."
"Your boss is not what you think him to be."
I said taking a deep breath.

"I'm all ears, tell me everything."
He said taking a seat.

Jace POV

I make my way to Aluna's uncles house parking outside the property for probably an hour waiting for Aluna to arrive but she was taking so long,
I got inpatient and decided to go knock on the door.

After a few seconds the door opened and a man who looked probably in his 60s stood in front of me.

"Hi may I help you?."
He asked looking at me strangely.

"Hi I'm Jace I work for your niece Aluna,"

"Is she here?"
He asked with a huge smile on his face stepping aside for me to enter.
I was about to tell him yes she is but I was halted by the sound of someone approaching us.
After a few seconds my eyes came upon non other than Ryan emerging from the kitchen with a bottle of water in his hand.

"Hey Ryan this is Jace he is a friend of Aluna."
Joe said making Ryan stop in his tracks by just the sound of Aluna's name.

"So is she here?"
Joe asked once more as Ryan approached us.
