Gabriel's vision returns back to him, and he is tumbling through the air as he descends. After a moment of trying to realign himself, he sees the ground far below him. It is snowy, and oddly full of life? This is definitely not the harsh lands of Treachery. As Gabriel turns his head around, he sees a glimpse of a starry night sky, not obscured by any raging blizzard. But as Gabriel realizes what's happening, he starts to feel his body start to heat up, his fall rapidly accelerating. Gabriel turns his head back to facing the ground, and sees the ground rapidly approach. With less than a few moments before he impacts the ground, Gabriel tries to brace himself with his arms.
With no grace at all, Gabriel impacts the snowy ground with extreme force. A small cloud of snow picks up where Gabriel lands as he chaotically tumbles across the ground. Gabriel grunts and shouts in pain as he scrapes his body against the ground. The next few seconds are nothing but spinning and pain from Gabriel's perspective. Visible markings on the ground appear from Gabriel's landing, leaving trace amounts smoldering ashes in a snow trail, him at the end, finally slowing down to a halt. At the end of this bloody trail lies Gabriel, stained in red.
Gabriel lays flat on his back, hanging to his life by a thread. He breathes deeply and shakily. As Gabriel struggles to stay conscious, he sees the starry night yet again, and the moon casting a soft light. Gabriel also sees the peculiar sight of trees towering above his sight, dark wood covered in snow. Gabriel turns his head to the side, his temples touching the cold ground. The snow has the oddity of having an unnaturally pinkish hue.
After a few moments of painful respite, Gabriel gathers the last of his strength to turn his torso around, his chest now facing the ground. With this, Gabriel painfully pushes against the ground, his body barely being lifted as he screams out in agony in this tundra. Gabriel finally pushes himself, now barely being able to crawl, blood still dripping from inside his armor. Gabriel climbs out of the small crater he made, his legs dragging across the ground. He starts to use legs to support his crawling, but this results in more pain.
Despite this, Gabriel tries to walk it off, quite literally in this case as he starts to step on the ground, using a knee to help himself stand up. With much struggle, he finally starts standing and walking shakily. It isn't long before he loses his balance when his legs start to give out. Gabriel starts to collapse on one of his knees, but catches himself with his arms and grunts from the pain. He falls next to a tree, and rotates his body in a way so that he starts sitting on the ground, using the tree to rest his back on the trunk.
After a moment of heavy breathing, Gabriel decides to lean his head's back against the tree. Gabriel tries to regulate his breathing, seeming to want to rest. Everything from Gabriel's point of view calms down for a moment, finally finding a minute of piece. With this newfound sanctuary of mind, Gabriel starts to think about and comprehend his surroundings.
If it weren't for the trees and the surprisingly calm winds, Gabriel would've thought this was still Treachery. But where is he exactly? This isn't earth, for this place isn't darkened with smog and ash. Maybe this place is a part of hell that even it's judge never witnessed, maybe he time-traveled to the past; or maybe, just maybe, this isn't the world he was familiar with.
Whatever this place is, Gabriel's time is probably going to be over. He doesn't know whether the lack of holy light or his wounds would kill him first. And so, he starts to think about his life. He starts to recall of the many lives he has killed in the name of "The will of God". The murder of Minos, the Slaughter of Sisyphus's kingdom; Gabriel feels a sense of somber regret for the massacred. Ever since the Father left, Gabriel has done nothing but blindly follow the council's order that is unguided by God's wisdom. Though there isn't a reason to think so, Gabriel can't help but think that the current situation he's in is result of his bloody crusade against the council. Even if the council was a load of fraudulent monsters caught in their own lie, no one is there to "guide" heaven's people. Heaven will soon fall.
