"we'd knew they'd be stupid like this eventually, still things are going nicely on schedule" i said
"indeed, my husband" she said
"soon we will be done with this world, all depts i have here will be paid in full and we can leave this place, how goes the training of the others" i asked
"well, our dragons are being trained and know what they are to expect, she is prepared for our arrival as well, she has at your request, used the device we gave her to take the boosted gear for you" she said, i nodded this was good
"excellent, and how is the akatsuki coming" i asked
"94% complete, if an emergency arose i could launch immediately" she said, i smirked
"and your own training" i asked
"well, alpha has submitted to my will" she said, i nodded
"i do not understand why you don't make him a dragon too" i said, she paused

i then heard alarm sirens going off, and i blinked
"how the hell did they find us so quickly" i asked but quickly moved towards my weapons, grabbing the both of them i made my way for kiriko, who thankfully had her blade with her
"make liberal use of your divine raiment" i said
"i will, don't worry husband" kiriko said
"i will always worry, you are my wife, lock down the akatsuki and it's fleet i'll do the same for atlas" i said
"understood" she said, i nodded leaving her
i made my way to the atlas and began to lock it down, to allow no one but me and kiriko access, after which i made my way back to kiriko who seemed to have the same idea
"our servants have decided to attack the intruders" kiriko said, i flinched
"in their dragon forms i assume" i asked, she nodded
"figures, let's go" i said
katsuragi's men were not doing so well against the dragons she was facing, and this hallway is big enough for dragons but not nearly tall enough for evangelions, so she was stuck between a rock and hard place, then they heard it, the gunshot of a weapon much more powerful then their own, as they saw two figures walked in front of the beasts, the woman was resting a hand one of them
"what is WILLE doing unannounced in our base" i asked aloud
"that's him" ritsuko said, misato's eyes bulged, if that was shinji, then he had changed dramatically, in the time that they were gone
"we want to talk to you shinji" misato said
"no you want a collar on my neck so you can continue to shove me into unit-01 when your back is against the wall, hurt me once shame on you, hurt me twice shame on me, have you ever wandered why there isn't a continuation of that saying, it's simple no one has ever gone to a third time, they learn their lesson after the second, i am no exception" i replied with a snort
"so your going to let your father win" ritsuko called
"you can come out, no one will attack you, well unless you attack first, then my servants will have reason to defend themselves" i said, hesitantly they came out
"you've changed" she said
"i blame, unit-01, or let me rephrase i thank that thing from the bottom of my heart for giving me the greatest gift possible, meet my wife, kiriko" i said, she bowed her head
"your wife" she said her brain short-circuiting
"indeed" i said
"how" misato said, i scoffed
"as i said, unit-01 gave me a great gift, the only gift it ever gave me, but it was the best gift anyone has ever given me, i will not say what it did, for i actually only have a hypothesis, and for all i know a god decided to be kind to me, that being said, i owe this world a dept, i will pay it, then i will leave" i said
"leave" misato said
"leave, you will hopefully never see me again" i said, kiriko leaned in and whispered into my ear, i shook my head
"no, i will explain later, riko" i said
"as you wish" she said
"so, go continue to fight your war, we will reveal ourselves when we are ready, not before" i said
"that's it" she asked
"it is, now get out" i said, she flinched, but ritsuko could tell they wouldn't convince him, and so dragged misato from the facility
