Luca

It's been four months since I broke her heart..
Four months since I had to drive away living her crying on her doorstep.
Four months since I ripped my own heart out to save her from having to be a part of this world

"Luca. Round up your brothers" my father bellowed through the phone. That was a tone I knew well, either someone has just made a move on his territory or one of my brothers have pissed him off to a new level
Regardless on the reasoning, he's pissed and that's about to fall on me.

It didn't take long to round the boys up, Marco and Nico were upstairs in the media room whilst Tobias was in the computer lab that Dad had made for him, we all had our benefits, our quirks as Mum would say. Tobias is the best hacker I've ever met, Nico could beat a man to a pulp without breaking a sweat and Marco has a knack for torture. I don't want a part of it, never have but Marco? I think he has a strange feeling towards it. I don't read into it too much, any of it

"What's up Dad" Marco says chirpy the moment we were all sat in his office, the moment that tone left his lips we all knew it wouldn't go down well
Marco has that arrogance to him, he might be the youngest even though he is a twin but he is truly taking being the baby of the family to a new strength. Mum eats it up, Dad not so much
"shut up boy" He warned, knowing that would be his only warning he nodded staying silent like a little sheep dog who had just been told off

"Your Zia Maya is going to a charity lunch tonight and I want all of you boys there in attendance" Dad explained making me instantly cringe
"So in other words, Mum is dragging you and you want us to suffer to" Nico groaned earning nothing shy of a death glare

"Regardless on Dad's reasoning behind this, we will be attending. No questions asked" I answered before Dad could. His choice of language would have been a lot more colourful with a bucket of threats that I know he would easily follow through on

"Get out of my sights. Luca, stay" Dad said getting the boys to leave the room. As they all left the room they nodded their heads at me knowing that I was most likely in the shit. But I know I hadn't done anything to alarm Dad, to set him off like my brothers could have
This would most likely just be a chat to make sure I keep them all in line tonight

"You're about to turn 22 Luca" He reminded me, I raised a brow at him uncertain where this was going. He was talking as if I had an expiration date.
"I am" I answered hoping he would get to the point faster
"It's about time we started looking for a wife for you. You're at a prime age to settle down, lay the foundations for a family of your own. You're my heir and you need one of your own" He explained making me take a sharp intake of breath

The idea of being with someone else let alone marrying them was enough to make my skin crawl
I only ever wanted any of that with Delilah, I didn't want to ever think about the possibility of it being someone else, I never wanted the thought of her being with someone else either
But maybe this was reality settling in

"What did you have in mind?" I asked, knowing I would not like the answer

"Well it's simple son. Keep an eye out tonight, if anyone grabs your attention let me know and I'll see what we can do" He said bluntly
"Anyone?" I asked
"Anyone, minus the help obviously. You need a suitable bride, someone fit to run beside you, fit to have your kids, fit to be a part of the family" He answered reminding me of the exact reason I didn't want Delilah around them

I didn't want her put under the microscope that everyone else is. I don't want someone to decide if she is fit to be apart of this family. I love her, that should be enough
But in this family I know that isn't the case at all

--

As we all walked into the banquet hall, we were not surprised to see Auntie Maya surrounded by some busy bodies while Uncle Carlos stood at the bar keeping a close eye on her every move not daring to interrupt
"Remember what I told you" Dad said nudging me ever so slightly as we all made our way over to Maya and her company.
The moment were all over, the busy bodies parted like the red sea making way for us all to say hello and exchange hugs
"Maya" Dad said with a nod hugging his sister tightly

He would never admit it, but he craved that one of us boys would be a girl. He wanted a daughter and Auntie Maya is the closest he ever got to that being his baby sister

"Giorgio, I'm so glad you and everyone made it. I have some people I want you to meet" She said bubbling up instantly her eyes searching the room frantically
"I can't find any of them, trust them all to be busy" She groaned while I continued to look around the room hoping someone would pop up to grab her attention

But what I didn't expect to see was my favourite brunette, my favourite pair of green eyes that I adored waking up next to, the person who truly made me rethink everything I ever believed

"Oh Delilah honey! Come here!" Maya said making Delilah shift to look towards her, the moment she did I'm pretty sure my jaw dropped

That wasn't the Delilah I knew, the curve of her stomach showed she was hiding something more then a heartbroken girl
She was pregnant...
