Prologue

The school bell rang and it was time for another class period. Just another day at Wolverhampton.

The jocks are kicking it with their girlfriends or boyfriends at the lockers. The rebels smoking in the bathrooms with each other. And then there is you. The lonely geeky boy walking down the hall with your books up to your chest.

One of your insecurities is that your openly gay and no one has ever had a crush on you. It's hard to watch other guys fall in love with one another. All the cliques find love within one another.

"I wish someone liked me." You whispered looking down at the ground. Only if you had a quarterback boyfriend who liked you- "Oof!!"

You run into someone, your glasses fall off, and your books fall to the floor. Your barely able to see, everything around you is a blur.

"Oh my gosh! I'm so sorry! Please don't hurt me!" You frantically apologized, searching around for your glasses.

"It's okay, lad. Are you okay?"

You can hear the voice but your not sure who it is. "I'm fine thanks."

"Here are your glasses." The person hands you back your glasses. Carefully you put them back on to Liam Payne standed right in front of you. The school athlete that everyone wants. "Are you okay?"

Redness rushed up to your cheeks. This is the closest you've ever gotten to Liam. "Y-yes I am. Sorry for bumping into you."

"It's all good." He chuckled helping you pick up your books. As he helps you, your hand touches your book and Liam's hand was on top of yours accidentally.

"Woah!" You quickly take your hand away from Liam and blushed.

"Sorry about that. I didn't mean to make that move on you." Liam apologized with a small chuckle.

"It's okay."

"I've seen you around here. What's your name?"

"(Y/N). And your Liam right?"

"I am." He nods.

"It was nice meeting you, Liam. I'll see you later." You quickly turned around and walked away from him hiding your blush.

"Liam, what was that about?" A friend of his asked.

"He bumped into me by accident. I think he's shy." Liam answered.

"I think he's weird."

"I think (Y/N) is pretty cute." Liam mentioned. "Probably the cutest geek in this school."

"If he's so cute then try talking to him." His friend suggested but in a joking manner.

"Maybe, I will." Liam closed his locker and left.

As class started, all you could think about was Liam. Part of you believes that you and him won't be together because you two are so different. But don't worry, Liam is the type of like you for you, no matter how different you are.
