Vallie dashed to the kitchen counter to grab her phone, causing Jinx to startle briefly before returning to her meal. With hurried taps, Vallie composed a message for her best friend, Hans, also known as Hanny, who was in the same year as her and Ash, studying pharmacology nursing.
"Girl!!!" She exclaimed, her excitement bubbling over.
"Remember Asher, the one I went on a date with last night?!" Vallie quickly sent the message before firing off another to her probably-still-asleep best friend.
"He left a note, A GOOD NIGHT NOTE!" Inside, she was practically screaming with joy as she typed out the messages.
"Here!!!" With a quick snap, Vallie captured a photo of the note and sent it off before rushing toward her bed and diving onto it. Collapsing onto her bed, she couldn't contain her excitement, squealing with delight amidst her plush toys, her screams muffled by the soft fabric.
After relishing the romantic anticipation coursing through her, she tried to steady her nerves and prepare for the day ahead. Seeking solace in the familiarity of her morning routine, she stepped into the shower to refresh herself before her trip to the school gym.
With each drop of water, she washed away the remnants of sleep, enveloping herself in the delicate scent of cherry blossoms emanating from her bath products. With a silicone scrub in hand, she gently massaged her skin, enjoying in this moment of self-care amidst the chaos of her thoughts. As she lathered up, the haunting melody of "Criminal" by Fiona Apple filled the bathroom, adding a poignant soundtrack to her morning ritual.
Once finished, she moved on to brushing her teeth and slipped into a pink jumpsuit adorned with delicate green patterns, then tied her hair up into a high ponytail. After a quick moment of affection with her pet, Jinx, she grabbed her belongings and left her dorm.
