An unexpected twist

8 days later.

Y/N woke up on a Saturday morning with the harsh reality of only two hours of sleep. The events of that horrific night replayed in her mind, the humiliation and fury still fresh. Nightmares were part of her routine now.

Y/N sat up in bed, the morning light filtering through her curtains, and took a deep breath. She needed to talk to someone she trusted. Right now. Or she'd loose her mind. Y/N could keep on trying to keep all of this to herself. She needed help. She needed someone to talk to.

Picking up her phone from her desk, she dialed Shoko Ieri's number. Shoko was one of her closest friends, someone she could confide in and both females were still in contact even after Y/N graduated. The phone rang a few times before Shoko answered, her voice slightly groggy.

"Hello?"

"Shoko, it's Y/N. I need to talk to you. Can we meet up?"

Shoko immediately sensed the urgency in her friend's voice. "Of course. Where do you want to meet? What happened, dear?"

"Let's meet at the xy restaurant near Jujutsu High and I'll tell you there" ,Y/N suggested, knowing it was a place they both liked.

"Okay. Okay, I'll be there in thirty minutes," Shoko replied, her tone now alert and concerned.

Y/N got ready quickly, splashing water on her face to wake herself up and shaking off the lingering tiredness. She threw on some casual clothes and headed out, her mind still reeling from the encounter with Toji.

At the Restaurant

As the sun began to set, Shoko and Y/N decided to meet up at the cozy restaurant near Jujutsu High. They ordered a few drinks, enjoying the relaxed atmosphere. The mood was light, their laughter filling the air as they reminisced about their time at Jujutsu High.

They sat by a window overlooking the busy Tokyo street. The restaurant was buzzing with life, the clinking of glasses and murmur of conversations creating a warm backdrop. Y/N sipped her drink, feeling the tension of the previous night slowly melting away.

"You know," Shoko said, twirling her glass in her hand, "I'm really glad we did this. Thank you for telling me about what happened, I really appreciate it. Just know that I am on your side and will always be."

Y/N nodded a smile forming on her face. "I needed this, Shoko. I... Thank you for being here. It means a lot to me."

Hearing that Shoko smiled back at Y/N, her eyes disappearing as she did so. Y/N was really glad that she had decided on telling her best friend. She didn't feel alone anymore and that was the most important thing for her.

Just as Shoko and Y/N were about to leave, Y/N's wallet suddenly slipped from her hand, falling to the floor. She bent down to retrieve it, but a large hand beat her to it. Looking up, she saw a tall, muscular man with brown hair and striking green eyes. He handed her the wallet with a charming smile.

"Here you go. You dropped this," he said, his voice smooth and pleasant.

Y/N took the wallet, feeling a strange sense of familiarity as she looked at him. "Thank you so much." She smiled back at him.

The man smiled wider. "Yamamoto Kenji. It's nice to meet you..."

"Oh, It's Y/N, nice to meet you too, Kenji."

Shoko gave Y/N a subtle nudge, clearly approving of Kenji. Y/N was bold (since she had already had a few drinks) and decided to invite him for a drink. "Would you maybe like to join us, Kenji? We were just about to have another round."
