Summary - Winter and Autumn kiss.
Winter had no idea what had possessed him to kiss Autumn. From the moment he'd met her he'd thought the woman was an utter nightmare. She was rude, condescending and cold.
The only thing was, she was genuinely the most beautiful woman he'd ever seen. Furthermore, her voice was the prettiest thing he'd ever heard.
They'd bumped into each other (literally) during the Knight Nursery Halloween party. They had a brief conversation during which Winter couldn't stop looking at Autumns lips. He wondered how a woman that stoney could have such soft, plump lips. As their conversation ended he could have sworn she looked him up and down before she stalked off, as if she were assessing him. What for he wasn't sure.
She kept looking over at him and catching his eye. For a good couple of hours, every time he looked around he could see that she was watching him. Eventually she approached him and asked "Winter, do you mind if I have a word with you outside?"
"Oh. Yes of course Autumn."
He followed her to the front of the venue and through to the garden. She promptly sat on a bench that was set to the side, so he followed suit. He waited. She wasn't saying anything. In fact, she was just looking into his eyes and blinking slowly. She didn't need to say anything, he just believed in that moment that she wanted him to kiss her. As their lips met, he thought to himself that he'd been correct earlier - her lips felt like silk against his own. He could taste the red wine she'd been drinking as she allowed him to deepen the kiss.
Autumn gently placed her hands on Winters chest, prompting him to snake his own hands around her back and pull her as close as possible to him. Something about the way she was touching him made it very clear to Winter that she was putting a lot of trust in him. Most people found Autumn intimidating, but Winter had never felt scared of her. In fact he'd always theorised that she was extremely fragile. She reminded him of a beautiful glass ornament, stunning, multifaceted and capable of cutting you very deeply if you dared to drop her.
Autumn relaxed further into the kiss and sighed sweetly. Winter was astonished at how warm and soft her body felt, he'd almost expected her to be cold to the touch. She moved her hands up to his shoulders and pushed her breasts against his chest, causing Winter to groan slightly at the contact. Images filled his head of Autumn opening herself up to him and trusting him to touch the most sensitive parts of her body. She wouldn't even let anyone hug her, which made Winter acutely aware of how privileged he would be should she allow him inside of her body.
As their kiss intensified further he wondered if he was truly prepared for this. Were his hands safe enough to hold her? If he was going to do this, he had to make sure of one thing.
He couldn't drop her.
