"Ow."
"Hm?" The man asked, hearing your groan of displeasure. Surprisingly enough, it wasn't from the injuries you had though.
"... Are you... Okay?" You asked, cringing at the so-called Master Of The Mansion's face.
It looked so painful.
Like, you're pretty sure you would cry if you had that on your face.
"My face is just fine if that's what you're asking about." The man smiled, seemingly unbothered by the question.
"It is? It doesn't hurt at all?"
"No, it doesn't."
"Oh... Good, um, that's good then." You nodded, feeling a bit weird. That's when you quickly realized that everyone had already backed up, showing their respect to the man by bowing their heads... And you were just standing there...
Like an idiot.
You slowly back away, hearing the Master talk again even though you weren't registering any of it. All you did was back up alongside everyone else before sitting down next to Tanjiro's figure.
You guess Shinazugawa grabbed onto Tanjiro and pushed his face into the ground since he wasn't near you along with Nezuko's box. For some reason he didn't grab you and you don't know why.
You felt like hyperventilating but you're pretty sure it isn't from nervousness. You pretty sure you might actually die soon from your injuries and your idiotic behavior.
You shouldn't have gotten out of bed and you regret that now tremendously.
"I am pleased to see you in good health as well master, I fervently pray for your continued good fortune."
Um... Come again?
You looked at Shinazugawa, the one that literally just stabbed both Nezuko and you, smacked you in the head with the back of his sword and then threatened to kill all of you. Was he a psychopath or was he just high?
Or worse, was he bipolar?
"I thank you, Sanemi."
Sanemi... Sanemi Shinazugawa, nice name.
"If I may master, before we start this meeting would you kindly enlighten us about this young swordsman right here, who it would appear, has been accompanied by a demon and another who claims to be their protector."
You just sat on your knees, slouching just a little bit because of how tired you were. All you really knew is that this guy would basically determine whether or not they died, which meant that if they decided death was the decision for the siblings, they'd have to kill you anyway because you were going to fight back.
"But of course, I apologize for any confusion. Tanjiro and Nezuko have both been sanctioned... I'd appreciate it if you'd all accept this condition."
You smiled a little bit before looking at Tanjiro. Tanjiro looked confused though so you bent over.
"That means that you'll be kept alive." You whisper to him.
Tanjiro's eyes widened in surprise and then he smiled.
"As for the protector, she is here on her own accord. I respect her and she will also be sanctioned as it would please a quiet elderly lady that works on my behalf."
You looked at the Master, surprised that he even knew all that much about the woman that helped. Then again, she was a very kind woman and you had always tried to be there for her since she raised you.
"You are allowed to come and go as you please." He continued, smiling at you which made your heart warm up.
"... Thank you sir."
