You woke up, straining your eyes open and looking at a white ceiling.

Wait, where are you?

"Oh, you're awake now. That's good, this is Aoi Kanzaki, she'll take care of you until you get better." Shinobu started as she introduced the smaller female that was sitting next to you.

You barely look at the girl named Aoi, trying to pay attention to what Shinobu was saying but to no avail, you were so damn tired that you couldn't even muster up the energy to talk.

"Don't worry too much, I know you're tired so once you're well rested, we'll ask you some questions. Is that alright?"

"... Yeah." You hoarsly reply, making the girl named Aoi sigh as she grabs a cup and places it near your mouth. You force your head to sit up and drink the water before plopping back down on the pillow and honestly you feel rather nice.

"Good, then I'll leave you alone." Shinobu replied, smiling before leaving the room you were in. From what you were able to see, it looked like a place for sick patients, like a hospital room and it felt really docile.

"This bed... It's so... Nice." You mumbled, curling up in the sheet and trying your best to go to sleep, you can't remember a time where you had been this comfortable trying to lay down anywhere.

"It should be, I washed the whole thing before you showed up and the pillows were recently fluffed." The girl named Aoi curtly replied, grabbing some disinfectants for the cuts you had on your arms. "And just so you know, we had to do emergency surgery on you but somehow you've found a way to wake up only an hour after. You seem to heal unnaturally fast."

You opened your eyes again when she grabbed your forearm and even though the wraps hurt, you were definitely glad that someone was taking the time to patch you up. She unraveled the old wraps you had and started cleaning the cuts and they looked terrible, they were probably going to scar you.

"You had a stomach ulcer, broken bones for days and you've damaged a lot of the nerves in your arms so it'll be harder to feel things with them, thankfully you didn't damage them to the point of paralysis." Aoi continued, sighing before standing up to fix the next arm.

"You seem to know so much about my condition." You weakly reply, chuckling as she just scoffs and cleans the other arm.

"Of course I do, I'm taking care of you and a bunch of other people, however you were the most injured. Whatever you did to get that jacked up don't do it again, you were about this close to dying."

Aoi she proceeded to show just how close to death you were by placing her hands a very small distance apart. They were almost touching but even without the demonstration, you could have guessed that's where you were at.

"... Thank you, for taking care of me." You thanked her with a smile.

"Well... You better be!" Aoi quickly stuttered out, feeling a bit flustered all of a sudden. She doesn't like to be thanked like that.

You turned over to your side, looking around a bit until your eyes laid upon a brown box.

You smiled when you looked a little harder on it, realizing that it was Nezuko's box. You don't know why they decided to place her next to you but you didn't mind one bit.

Gently you set your hand on top of the box, quietly knocking on it twice before resting it. You almost sat up when you felt two knocks back, signaling to you that Nezuko was awake and could hear you.

A small chuckle escaped your mouth before you closed your eyes again, Aoi just scoffed, rolling her eyes at your strange behavior. You seemed to care so little about how injured you actually were that it pissed her off.
