A runners tale

Meeting people

Alice woke up and she could tell it was a new day. No rain and the sun was shining.

She uncovered her legs from the blanket and stood up. She decided she'd leave the stuff in the house and go explore a little. She headed out the door and looked around from the step.

She didn't know where to go honestly. So she chose the direction opposite of the way she came from yesterday and see if she sees anyone.

She had seen a couple people, some had asked if she was new and welcomed her. Others just glanced at her and payed no mind to her.

She then saw someone in this shiny metal armor talking to someone similar. She went up to them hearing some of their conversation. "Look Bella I know there's not many people, but I think the merchant Dolly has been talking to they might come here"

The other person sighed "Sky what is that going to do if we have basically no people left" the other person (sky apparently) started to say "But we can't give up this village, what about the people still here? We can't just tell them to all get up and leave." Sky said harshly.

Alice stood awkwardly a couple steps away, not sure if she should say anything. "I know some might not wanna leave but unless we find a new leader to run the village or at least give people hope." Bella took a breath. "Look I'm sorry but it might be our last resort."

Bella? said sounding done.

Alice decided this was a good point to talk to them, she walked forward a little, getting the attention of Bella. "Oh, hello miss is there something you need?"

"Yea I'm new to the town, I got here yesterday I think." Alice said giving an awkward smile. "Oh my, I'm so sorry for not knowing there was someone new in town. I hadn't heard from anyone about you." Bella said apologetic.

"Oh it's fine! I...kinda just showed up, so I'm sorry" Alice said quickly. "I was hoping that I could stay here in town, but I may have over heard your conversation so I shouldn't really bother you anymore."

Alice was about to turn around to walk away, but the other guard (sky) put a hand on her shoulder. "Actually...that isn't a final decision. So don't worry, you're welcome to stay here"

Alice smiled at that. "Would you like me to show you around our village" Sky asked. Which to Alice sounded nice. "Yea thanks." Sky then led her around the village, Bella then followed after them.
