"How come she's so nice to you and so cold towards us?" The ginger harbinger that was holding her asked.
"Uh, she's always been nice to me..." y/n said with a quiet laugh, not having the energy to do much more.
"You're lucky for that because that woman is scary," Tartaglia said in a joking tone but y/n could decipher that there was truth to his words.
Y/n thought about how the other harbinger acted towards her and couldn't feel any fear. She had been nothing but sweet and caring towards her that there was no room for any other emotion than love. She was so grateful for them finding her because one day or another she would've died in that basement. She wasn't sure how they had stumbled upon this place seeing as it was fairly secluded but she supposed she could ask Arlecchino when she came back.
Y/n wondered if her brother was home and if he wasn't what he would do once he came back to see everyone gone and their father lying lifeless on the floor. She couldn't feel anything but hate and resentment towards the man, no feelings of love for her family. She couldn't even consider him a part of her family. She had no family, none that truly mattered to her anymore. Her sister...she was dead and so was her mother. It sank in that her sister hadn't stopped writing because she had forgotten about her or because she had stopped caring, she had simply died... Y/n wanted to cry and mourn her sister properly but her body was more focused on keeping her alive and awake. The woman wondered if Sky had actually developed powers or if it was only bait to lure her back to the house but Y/n didn't want to think anymore. She was so tired and only wanted to go home. She wanted to be by Arlecchino's side and sleep in between her arms. She wanted to feel her presence and wanted to tell the other woman everything about herself.
Y/n wasn't sure how long she had slept but when her eyes opened she was asleep. Her head was lying on someone's lap and when she turned her head to be able to see who it was, she was met with two red crossed eyes.
"It's okay...we're going home. Get some sleep," Arlecchino said softly, not wanting to disturb the tired woman.
"Is he...dead?" Y/n asked, needing confirmation that her father was finally gone from this world.
"Yes, I took care of it," the harbinger said, stroking the other woman's head.
"Thank you, I owe you everything," y/n told Arlecchino, lifting her head from the woman's lap and slowly lifting her body too.
"You don't owe me anything. I told you, anything you want, and it's yours," the woman said before feeling y/n hugging her tightly.
"The only thing I want anymore is you," y/n muttered in the crook of her neck.
"I'm sure that can be arranged," Arlecchino said jokingly, feeling y/n chuckle.
"Oh, and I almost forgot. I have something of yours," the harbinger said, pulling out a blue orb from her pocket.
"What is- oh my vision! You found it, I was afraid my father had thrown it away," y/n said, clutching the object in her hand. It wasn't as if she would've had enough strength to use it but her father had deemed it necessary to take it away from her person. She was scared she would never see her precious orb ever again but her knight in shining armor had found it for her.
They sat comfortably with each other, enjoying the silence that the empty roads provided. They didn't want to talk, they merely needed to feel each other's presence to feel complete. Y/n dozed off a few times, her exhaustion being too intense but Arlecchino was always there to lend a shoulder for her to sleep on.
When she finally couldn't sleep anymore she asked how much longer it would take to reach the port.
"Are we at the port soon?" She asked.
