Avery and Leah grabbed their popcorn and jumped onto the couch of their joint apartment.
'Which one?' Avery asked holding up the two Captain America's.
'Why can't we watch Iron Man 3?' Leah whined.
'We watch that one everyday.' Avery said putting her hands on her hips.
Leah sighed and caved.
'The First Avenger.' She said.
Avery smiled at her small victory and popped the movie in. They both attended New York University so rather than living on campus, they bought a grungy apartment. They both loved the Marvel cinematic universe and from what you've already read, Leah loved Iron Man and Avery loved Captain America.
'I wish Iron Man was in this one.' Leah said causing Avery to roll her eyes.
Half way through the film, Leah jumped for joy.
'What's your problem?' Avery questioned.
'Howard's on the screen!' Leah replied.
Avery popped some popcorn into her mouth before turning her attention back to the screen.
'Bucky's death is heartbreaking.' Avery said grabbing a tissue.
Leah nodded and blew her nose. They watched the movie and Leah cleaned up before they headed to their opposite rooms.
'Avery?' Leah said after a moment.
There was a thump from outside her door and she got out of bed.
'Avery, you know I hate your pranks.' She said nervously.
She opened the door and bumped into someone; Avery.
'What're you doing?' Avery asked.
'It wasn't me.' Leah said nervously.
There was another thump from closer to their front door and they both jumped.
'Who's there?' Avery asked.
Leah noticed for the first time that Avery had a baseball bat in her hand.
'I don't want to hurt you.' The person said.
Leah stopped and dragged Avery away with her.
'We've got to call the cops!' She whisper yelled.
'I really don't want to hurt anyone.' The person said again.
Avery, being the outgoing one, grabbed Leah and pulled her with her.
'What do you want then?' She asked flicking a light on.
When she saw who it was she dropped the bat in shock.
'How the hell are you here?' She asked.
Leah nervously peered around and saw who it was.
'Bloody hell.' She finally said.
