Caught off guard, they didn't immediately eliminate their captives. While Tin was securing the area, they suddenly heard a voice over the radio from one of the captured terrorists, calling out to one of their hostages. Without hesitation, Tin grabbed the radio and spoke. Though his voice betrayed his frustration, his calm posture and tone made it hard to detect.
Tin: Who is this?
??: What did you do to my brother? Don't you dare hurt him, or you'll pay!
Tin: What kind of payment do you want? Last I checked, I owe you nothing. If anything, it's you who owe me—because of you, I can't get home right away.
???: Ali, Ali, are you there?Tin glanced coldly at the source of the radio transmission. His icy demeanor and words made their hostage, Ali, shiver as he realized the call was meant for him.
Tin: So, your name is Ali.
The intensity in Tin's voice grew, a mix of anger and control, making it clear he was not to be trifled with. He moved closer to Ali, his eyes locked on him, the tension in the air palpable.
Tin: Ali, tell your friend here what happens when you mess with me.
Ali, visibly shaken, stammered, his voice barely audible.
Ali: P-please...don't hurt me...
Tin pressed the radio button again, his voice dropping to a deadly whisper.
Tin: You hear that? Your brother's scared. And he should be. Now, tell me, what’s your next move? Because I’m running out of patience.
The silence on the other end of the radio was deafening, as the unseen enemy realized the gravity of their situation. Tin’s calm, methodical approach masked the storm of rage within him, making him even more dangerous.
Immediately, Tin grabbed Ali by the shirt and started punching him relentlessly. He then ordered his team to broadcast the beating over the radio. Tin had lost all semblance of mercy after witnessing the lifeless body of a child on his way to the helicopter. The sight had shattered any remaining compassion he had, even towards his own team.
???: Don't kill my brother! I swear, I'll hunt you down!
Tin: Don't bother looking for me. I'll find you. You beg for your brother's life, yet you killed innocent people for your worthless cause.
Without a second thought, Tin drew his dagger and plunged it into the terrorist's brother's chest. The dying man's final scream echoed through the radio, a chilling testament to Tin's ruthlessness.
Tin then turned off the radio and issued a cold command to his team.
Tin: Kill them all. Leave no one alive. They don’t deserve mercy.
He immediately grabbed Elaine. A moment later, Elaine pushed Tin away, her eyes wide with horror. She struck him, her voice trembling with fear and anger.
Elaine: You killed that man!
She glared at him, her aggressive stance reflecting her inner turmoil. She tightened her grip on his arm, her fury spilling over.
Elaine: What kind of monster are you? How can you do this?
Tin: They don’t deserve to live. Many died because of them. Do you think I’ll let them live?
Elaine: They’re still human, Tin.
Tin: The “humans” you’re talking about will kill you without hesitation. Humans don’t act like that.
Elaine: Tin, when was the last time we left a place without killing anyone?
Tin: Are you stupid? If we don’t kill, how can we ensure our safety? You know how I operate. I’m not afraid of any punishment as long as my team is safe. I’ll do whatever it takes without a second thought.
