I barely slept last night, I woke up twice sweating and panting, once at 12 am and the second at 5am. It was not a bad nightmare, both where not bad not as bad as the ones where I wake up screaming.
It's now about 7:30 am and I've been up since five. I was too scared to go back to sleep and get another nightmare. I've read a book on my phone since I don't have any. I used to read books at the school library and sometimes I would go to the library and go there to read. After a while I decided I should get ready, I put on the other t-shirt thats over sized on and my other pair of cargos. It's kind of cold but my one hoodie that I have is dirty.
I made my bed and put my shoes on, it's a old, worn out pair of converse. I'm grateful that I at least have something.
I walk down and go to the living room. Alessandro, Adrian and Dad are sitting there in the kitchen. "Morning." I greet them and they all look at me. "Morning Bambina, did you sleep well." Dad asks me. "Yes I did." I lie. "Why are you up so early, it's Saturday." Adrian asks me. "I'm used to waking up early everyday." That's not a lie, I would wake up at 7 am every single day or I would just be awake the whole night.
I walk to the island and sit next to Alessandro. "Do you want something to eat honey." Dad asks, that nickname sends a chill down my spin and it takes me back to the times with Mark and Lewis. He's not here Rose, he's not here it's just your dad, non of them are here. I tell myself. "Rose are you ok, you zoned out for a second." Adrian asks me and I see them looking at me with concern including Alessandro. "Yes, no. I'm fine, I'm not really hungry it's too early for me to eat." I smile and they nod.
Alessandro is working on his laptop, Adrian is making food and dad is reading a news paper. I take out my phone from my pants pocket and message Julie, she reads the message but doesn't reply.
I'll just wait until tomorrow when she's cooled down to message again. I would message Grey but I know he's probably still sleeping. "How did you phone get so cracked, you can barely see through the screen." Alessandro's voice brings me out of my thoughts. He didn't scare me this time. "Oh I dropped it by mistake." I tell him.
That's a lie, Lewis got mad and throw it against the floor. I'm surprised it still works. "You're going shopping today and we'll get you a new one." Adrian tells me. "No that's ok, I'm fine with this one." I reply. "No its not ok, don't worry about it." He smiles at me. "Yes and you need some clothes too, get what ever you want." My dad says.
I don't like spending other people's money, I've never really got to spend money other than the times I got for my birthday. "I seriously don't need to get anything." I say and rub my arms trying to warm them up. "There's no room for arguments, we are going to buy you everything you need." He says in a demanding tone. "Rose are you cold, where's your jacket or hoodie." Adrian comes next to me and asks. "My hoodie is dirty and I don't have a jacket." I tell him looking down. "That's why we need to go shopping, come on let's go I'll get you one to wear." Adrain says and I follow him upstairs.
We walk into his room and it's not what I expected. He has picture frames of cars, and a mini car collection. "I like your room and your car collection." I smile looking at it. "Thank you, you like cars." He asks me and I nod.
