Freen's POV

Present

I stood before the towering building, gazing at the grand sign that read "Celestia Jewels" in bold letters. Determinedly, I walked into the building, making my way to the reception desk.

The lobby sprawled before me, vast and bustling with activity. Office workers hurried about, engrossed in their tasks, their focused demeanor indicating the urgency of their work.

"I have an appointment with Ms. Armstrong."

She nodded and asked, "May I have your name?"

"Freen."

She picked up a phone and said to the other side, "Yes, the CEO's guest is here."

Then, she closed the phone, "Ms. Armstrong is waiting for your arrival, you may go up to the 30th floor, here's your access card."

She handed me an access card that said VIP. "Thank you, have a good day," I said as I walked to the elevator.

I tapped the card to grant access to the 30th floor, the elevator quickly rose to the designated floor and opened up. I headed out to see a giant door in front of me.

"Are you, Ms. Freen?", asked a voice that headed towards me.

I glanced at her, a young woman dressed in a crisp white shirt, complemented by a sleek black blazer. Her attire was completed with a stylish black miniskirt and matching heels.

"Probably her secretary," I thought.

I replied to her, "Yes."

"Greetings, I'm Irin. The CEO is waiting for you," she said as she walked to the giant door. Irin knocked on the door and a voice from inside replied, "Come in."

She opened the door, revealing a spacious office. One side featured a large glass window showcasing a panoramic view of the city. To the right, was a lounge area with multiple sofas and a well-stocked wine cabinet. Her office, with its pristine white decor, was a contrast to my own.

I saw the CEO standing and looking out the window as her back facing me. She wore a white dress, elegantly draped with a black coat casually slung over her shoulders.

"Ms. CEO, I have brought Ms. Freen," said Irin as she bowed to her.

Becky saw both of us from the reflection of the glass and said, "Irin, could you please leave us alone?"

Irin replied, "Yes, I will take my leave."

The door was closed leaving both of us in the office. She finally turned around and I could see that she was smiling at me. "Good to see you, Ms. Freen. Pardon me for meeting you in my humble office."

Is she for real? I thought to myself and replied to her, "Your office building was beyond anything that I imagined, thank you for inviting me."

She chuckled and sat at her desk, "Have a seat."

I sat down and she continued, "So, how long have you been a physical security engineer?"

"Around 7 years in total, I spent years training beforehand and worked at the government for the past 5 years."

"Are you still working with the government?"

"No, I don't. Nowadays, I only accept jobs from clients," I said.

"Tell me about your family background and your past education," she said as she crossed her arms with her eyes locked on me.

"I came from an ordinary family. But, I grew up mostly by myself since my parents died when I was a child. My grandmother took care of me for a while, but she died a couple of years later because of her illness. I finished my Bachelor's degree in Computer Science and Master's in Information Systems."
