Becky's POV

Present

I closed the door of my mansion and was about to walk upstairs when I heard a familiar voice. "Honey? I didn't know you were coming home so late."

A middle-aged woman in a nightgown stood beside the railing. I smiled at her and said, "I just had dinner, Mom."

I walked upstairs to my room and my mom asked, "Oh? Were you on a date?"

I stopped and turned back to her, "Mom! Of course not!"

"Well, it's not like you went to have dinner...alone. So who is it?" she replied.

I sighed. "She's my co-worker, remember? I told you about the new employee that worked for the vault."

She nodded, "You haven't even told me her name yet."

"Mom, is it really that important?!"

I heard a chuckle from my mother, "I want to meet her. I'm curious what made my daughter blush when talking about her."

My cheeks were getting hotter and I pouted, "I'm not blushing!"

I opened my bedroom door. "Her name is Freen," I said quietly.

My mother chuckled, "All right, honey."

I closed the door and leaned against it, my cheeks burning. I needed to wash my face with cold water to cool down.

Freen's POV

Present

Weeks went by and I woke up to the sound of a phone call. "It's fucking weekend, let me sleep, damn it," I mumbled as I turned to the other side of the bed.

The phone call rang again three times and this time I finally admitted to my loss. "Hel, pick up the phone."

My eyes were still shut when the other person on the call said something, "Freen, where are you?"

"It's the weekend. Where else am I supposed to be?" I replied, annoyed.

"Perfect, can you keep me company?"

"No."

"Please, Freen~"

"I already told you my answer, Nam."

She was silent for a while and then continued, "Becky wants to see you~"

I opened my eyes, "Why?"

"I don't know, you should ask her."

I grunted, "Are you with her?"

"No, we're about to meet at the cafe."

"You're not tricking me, aren't you, Nam?" I asked.

"Of course not, why would I? It's a deal then, come to the cafe at noon."

She hung up the phone, "She better not fucking lying to me," I said while sitting up on the bed.

Freen's POV

Present

I finally arrived and opened the door to the cafe. "There she is, finally!" a high-pitched voice called out to me.

I looked at the table and saw three people sitting there. "Good to see you again, Freen," a new voice said as she extended her hand. I shook it warmly.
