Chapter 1

Author's POV

A girl in her mid twenties was trying to wake up her best friend who was sleeping unaware of the situation of what was happening around her.

"Amu, get up yaar. I'm trying to wake you up from the past 30 mins, come on or else we will get late." She said while shaking her shoulders.

"Just 5 more minutes please" Her friend said in a sleepy voice

"No, it's already 10, now get up you sleepyhead, I have a good news to share" she said being excited

"Good news.... oh congratulations my dear best friend but let me tell you I will be the one who will name your baby" Her friend murmured in her sleepy state.

"What the hell are you speaking, get up and where did the baby come from?" She said looking down at her friend in disbelief. Well it shouldn't shock her anymore, what did she even expect from this sleepyhead girl.

"Haye Rabba mai es kudi da ki Kara" she thought for a while before an idea popped in her mind, she smiled mischievously while looking at her friend. (Oh God, what should I do with this girl)

She picked up the glass of water from the side table and threw it on her friend who slept again. She never wakes her up like this until she has something important to share. Her friend woke up and sat up on the bed in hurry with shocking expressions not knowing what just happened with her.

"Bani what the hell, why did you throw water on my face" she asked, being irritated while wiping her face with the bedsheet.

"Sorry but not sorry, I was trying to wake you up from so long but look at you, you weren't getting up at all" Bani said while taking the bedsheet from her friend's hand and folding it.

"But it's Saturday, and I don't have any work to do" Amrita spoke with a sigh

"Amrita get up now please, I need to tell you something very important" Bani said being excited

"Important, what's so important that you had to wake me up like this" Amrita spoke while standing up from the bed and stretching her muscles.

"So the news is that.. both of us got selected for interview in Grewal industries, and if the interview goes well then one of us might get selected for the secretary position, but there might be some more candidates so I really hope one of us gets selected" Bani spoke with a big smile

"Whattt" Amrita said in a loud voice

"Amu, why are you so loud, talk a little calmly" Bani said while hitting Amrita's head lightly

"Ouch" Amrita said dramatically while holding her head.

"Such a drama queen, I didn't even hit you that hard." Bani said while nicely making the bed.

"Bani, what if none of us get selected for this post." Amrita asked

"Even then it's okay, we still have our old job and on top of that we have applied in other companies as well, so we can wait until we get a response from there. Babaji te parosa rakh sab theek hoyega" Bani answered smilingly even though from inside she was also nervous about the response.(Keep faith in God, everything will be fine)

Bani and Amrita had grown up in an orphanage and after turning 18 and completing their basic education, both started living outside the orphanage, the orphanage's incharge lady, Aastha aunty whom they love a lot, has always been nice and supportive to all the children.
