The sun shined as it set, having the sky turn a deep orange hue, and the water was rippling beneath the bridge the two men were standing on. Puddles of muddy water littered the entire ground, leaving brown spots all over the grass. One lavender-eyed albino and one blue-eyed raven, just listening quietly to the water flowing and the fish playing. The silence broke as the man with fluffy white hair cleared his throat.

"I better get going Tomioka. I... have important stuff." His raspy voice was distant. He wanted to get away from there, and his lips curled into a frown. The ravenette raised his head to look at the other, not surprised but a little sad he was leaving already. "Are you really going to leave already? It hasn't been that long..." He started fidgeting with his damp yukata's sleeve.

"Yeah, I am. So?" Shinazugawa growled. Then sighing afterwards.

The blue-eyed raven sighed as well. The evening had started off well.. But had supposedly ended horribly. The restaurant was nearly full and had no good food. And on their way back, it started to heavily rain. Not good at all. It all felt so depressing, their first night out to spend time with each other had become the complete opposite of what they expected. To make it worse, Giyuu felt ashamed since he was the one who invited the latter, and brought him to the restaurant, as he had heard good things about it.

"Okay, alright... I'll see you.." He let out a very small and forced smile, hoping to make the situation less boring and tense. "At.. least it stopped raining.." he said quietly, trying to be positive.

"Yeah whatever, see you." Sanemi's voice sounded bored and dissatisfied. Not that he wanted it to, but rather that he didn't know how to respond. He knew this evening wasn't what Giyuu planned, but he didn't know how to act okay with it. He wanted to say it was fine, but had no idea how to. All he knew was how to reject the kindness he could offer. And think about what he should say.. instead of being rude.

Giyuu sighed again. "...I hoped we could go somewhere else next ti-" "God Giyuu! Don't you realize it's not about all of that!?" Sanemi interrupted him, yelling. It was like something inside him did it without his own permission, without his consent to do so. Giyuu on the other hand was shocked, surprised by his shouting. His mouth hung slightly agape and his eyes had widened.

"I accepted this date because.." The wind hashira stopped for a little over a second, just to then continue yelling. "I had nothing better to do, alright?! What's your deal?! Why even ask me out?! The hell's up with you?!" The words flew out of his mouth before he could even consider shutting up. Oh how he immediately regretted that.

Hearing his words the ravenette couldn't help but let tears stream down his face. His words hurt. The one he just wished to get closer to- Couldn't return the favor of liking him back, it seemed. He was devastated, feeling a large pit in his stomach, and his throat started to ache with a sharp pain.

Seeing the raven cry.. It had the wind hashira regret every word he said. But what was he supposed to say now? "I'm sorry that I was yelling I couldn't help myself and I had no idea what to say anyway?" No, he couldn't say that. He couldn't let out a single word. Not one.

All he did was turn around. He turned around. To face the other way. To hide the small tears that prickled his eyes, and threatened to fall. He was mad. Mad at himself. Why did he say that? He had no idea. But he did know it wasn't worth it.

Blinded by his rage, he muffled out an angry "Goodbye.", and headed forward along the dirty and wet path. His anger wasn't supposed to be let out on the ocean-eyed man, but he didn't mean to. It was like it was his instinct. And it told him for some reason to yell, to be mad. Hearing the quiet sobs of the other, he sped up. It broke him to just imagine Giyuu crying over him.

Tomioka Giyuu just stood there. He felt fooled by himself. Blinded by love, to not realize the latter's disinterest in him.

"I guess I'll... not see you later.."
