Chapter 16 : Blood

Aamaal POV

I couldn't sleep the whole night,
The excitement.
Even though it's not about me,
It's about him
Everything about him makes me happy.
I could never forget this day
I am so happy for him.
Actually I am happier than him for him.
Everyone's present here at FAW.

FAW has huge a conference hall,
With balconies, With fancy looking chandeliers, dark grey marble walls and black marble floor, seats were arranged in a straight line. Which made it look more neat. It looked like some palace that belonged to the Egyptians.
Maqsood uncle really has a type
I believe.

"Aamaal!" Akhlaq waved at me indicating me to come towards him, he was sitting in the front row.
I sat next to him and my mom who was already busy discussing something with Faria aunty and Safina ammi.
Zain and Kaif bhai sitting in the corner smiling and cheering for wazir, who was standing next to the podium.

Abba was on this way.
I was happy to see maqsood uncle giving a speech for wazir that he deserves,
Not because I am in love with him but because he is really hardworking , dedicated and sincere with his work.
I felt someone's touch across my shoulder It was a warm touch that I recognized.
It was Abba
He finally came.

I wanted to tell him everything about me and wazir,
But I just hope that everything is good between both the families,
I am going to say it all to them soon.
We all stood up for giving a loud applause out of respect to both maqsood uncle and wazir.

Suddenly the room went all dark.
I could sense someone standing in front of me.
I got chills all over my body.
Abba spoke while holding me tighter.
"It's okay Aamaal maybe the power-
" Abba. " I felt his hand falling from above my shoulder.
I heard a loud groan coming from abba direction.
"Abba, are you okay" I said with tears in my eyes.

"I cant see anything , Wazir Saad bhai where are you" I screamed to know what was going on.

"Aamaal I will go and check" said saad bhai
"I cant see anything" said ammi
"Ahhh " I heard aloud thud I guess someone fell on their back.
"Ammi is it you?" I asked

"Ouch , Aamaal can you see me please give me your hand". Ammi replied

The light were back on after a few minutes.
I felt relieved
But what I saw next was something that I wanted to carve my eyes out.
Saad bhai said running towards me
"Yo,I started the power back-"
I was just staring all I could do was stare

"Ahhhhhhhhhhh" Ammi screamed
Seating next to my Abba,
He was covered in blood.

"Aftaab! aftaab!" my ammi said while tapping rapidly on my abba's face

Everything in the room people cheering loudly, the happiness, the excitement
All of it faded.

I couldn't hear anything.
Everyone speaking something but nothing audible.
Zain grabbed me by my shoulder,
"Aamaal!"
"AAMAAL!"

I looked in his direction,
I frozed in my position.
"That man,"
Kaif bhai pointed towards a man wearing a black mask that covered his whole face except his eyes.
His gleaming brown eyes,
Staring right into everyone's soul.
He jumped out from the balcony.
Kaif bhai and Zain Ran in that direction
Looking out of window.

"He is gone" Kaif bhai spoke with tears in his eyes.
Zain took out his phone, and called someone,
i couldn't hear anything.

I don't know what to do.
Shall I cry out loud?
Shall I not panic and be strong?
Be strong ?
Am I strong?

"We need to take him to hospital RIGHT NOW! " akhlaq said
"Wazir wazir " akhlaq said shaking him

"Get the car right now" akhlaq said holding onto wazir's shoulder.

"Saad bring a towels right now, we need to stop the bleeding " akhlaq ordered
Saad bhai.

Tears.
Fear.
Pain.
Anger.
Flicked on everyone's face.
I was just standing there
Stoned in my position,
I couldn't even move a inch.
I couldn't even do anything.

Akhlaq trying to stop the bleeding,
"I got the car, pick him up NOW" wazir said breathing heftily.

"Kaif bhai , Saad stop staring and move nowwwww" akhlaq raising his voice and shaking our souls.
"All of you come as soon as possible" wazir said before disappearing out of our sights.

"Gazala aunty, its okay he will be alright.
Safina aunty, Aamaal. We all should head towards the hospital right now please move and let's go. We need to go there. Ab-Aftaab sir must be waiting for us, he is gonna be alright." Zain reassured us with tears streaming down his eyes yet trying to lay out hope in everyone's heart.

What has happened ?
Why has it happened ?
It is a dream ?
What will happen to abba?
Is he gonna die ?
