A small typical brahmin house in Palakkad. Suddenly the door opened. An old grandpa came outside. He
walks with the help of his walking stick. He had a subtle white beard. He has wrinkles all over his body. He wore a white mundu (dhoti) and a small thorthu ( type of towel ) hanging on his shoulder. He slowly sat on the armchair in front of the house. He started to wipe the water droplets on his face with the thorthu. He keenly looked at the small paddy fields.

Inside the house. A small room at the east side. Someone hummed a song. The room door opened slightly. A girl who cladded with a green skirt and green blouse. She pin the shall on her blouse. She neatly wore her half saree. Her hair tied with thorthu. She stands in front of the mirror. She sweetly smiles looking at the mirror. She put some talcum powder in her hand. She rubbed with both hands and placed her hand on her face. She put kohl on her eyes. Her chubby white face glittered with the presence of a prominent mole on her left cheek. Her hair strands fall on her forehead and it covers her eyes. She thoroughly looked at her whole attire. Although she has a smile that has the power to rule the whole world. But she has insecurity. Because she was chubby. Her grandparents always tried to cheer up whenever she cried for looking like chubby.

Her name is Nivedhitha but her loved one likes to call her Gundumulaku. She always whines whenever others call her Gundumulaku. But in other ways she loved to call her Gundumulaku. Gundumulaku is a sweet, naive, chubby, and native girl, who loves to live in a village. Her parents died in a car accident when she was merely 5 years old. After her parents demise she lived with her grandparents especially her mother's parents.

Her grandparents loved to pamper her. They always try to cover up her parents' presence. She had a sweet tooth. She always tries to eat sweet things. Her favorite snacks are laddu, jilebi and she was a great fan of unniyappam made by her grandma.
