Suddenly, a gunshot pierced the air, causing Jungkook's eyes to widen in shock. Panic rushed through his body when he heard Taehyung's painful groan.

“T-Taehyung…” Jungkook tried to say something but no words came out of his mouth.

Jungkook moved his hand on Taehyung's back, then he looked at his hand which was covered with blood. 

Jungkook felt as if his whole world had stopped. He hugged Taehyung tightly, whose grip loosened from Jungkook's neck. Jungkook's hands started shaking with fear, tears flowing from his eyes. 

Jungkook broke the hug and looked at him. Taehyung was looking at him with half-opened eyes. There was a little smile on Taehyung's face.

“B-Baby” Jungkook whispered and held Taehyung's cheeks, who closed his eyes to feel Jungkook's touch. 

Jungkook felt like his heart would stop beating at any moment. He again hugged Taehyung close to his heart. Tears were continuously flowing from his eyes but he didn't dare to lose his grip on Taehyung. 

With tears streaming down his face, Jungkook hugged Taehyung as if his life depended on it. He refused to let go of him as if by holding onto him, he could somehow keep him with himself.

Jungkook looked behind and saw his father standing on top of the stairs while holding a gun.

Jungkook felt like killing Mr Jeon. That man because of whom Taehyung suffered so much, Jungkook cannot let him live at all. But now Jungkook knows that Taehyung needs him at this time and if even a little more time is wasted then it could be dangerous for Taehyung.  

Jungkook glared at Mr Jeon who left with a smirk on his face. 

Namjoon and Yoongi entered the mansion with other bodyguards who had already killed all the bodyguards of Mr Jeon. 

Namjoon's jaw dropped after seeing the scene in front of him. Taehyung's whole back was covered with his blood.

Jungkook turned his head and looked at Namjoon. “H-Hyung” Jungkook's voice cracked due to his crying. 

Namjoon's eyes filled with tears seeing Jungkook's condition. He looked at Yoongi who nodded his head and ran outside the mansion. 

“Jungkook, let's go, we can't waste more time here,” Namjoon said looking at Jungkook who nodded his head and picked Taehyung in his arms.

They all sat in the car. Yoongi started driving the car. Jungkook was sitting in the back seat with Taehyung lying near him and his head placed on Jungkook's lap. Jungkook was continuously tapping Taehyung's cheeks to keep him conscious.

“B-Baby, please open your eyes. Look at me, please. Everything will be alright okay. Don't be afraid I'm with you always” Jungkook whispered near Taehyung who was trying so hard to not close his eyes.

“I'm so sorry it all happened because of me. I should have come earlier. I'm so sorry. Forgive your kookie please” Jungkook broke in tears and hugged Taehyung tightly. 

Taehyung was listening to Jungkook's every talk. He wanted to talk with Jungkook but had no energy to utter any words. He wanted to tell Jungkook that it was not his fault. He wanted to tell him to not blame himself for everything. He wanted to tell Jungkook that he also loves him so much.

“Baby, we will reach the hospital soon then you will be alright. We will then leave for our home. You know our Yeontan is waiting for us” Jungkook said, wiping his tears and giving an assuring smile to Taehyung.
