Next day came up with news which destroyed the progress Nandini was about to make in her life. Everything happened so quickly that she didn't get time to think, how and why this happened and moreover she was confused with what she should do in this situation?

She had planned on divorcing him but he is still her husband and she can't leave him when he is in jail. One step she took with so much courage and in the next move life pushed her back, she felt lost without fighting.

First thing in the morning Sameer did was knock on Nandini's door as soon as he woke up with a hangover and heavy head. He remembered police arresting Sumit from the bar which they had visited last night after Sumit and Nandini's fight to give him morale support.

Nandini and her mother in law sat on the back seat along with Sameer in his car which was being driven by Kiran and Dutta was sitting on the passenger seat. Nandini who was sitting in the middle moved dangerously closer to her mother in law after feeling uncomfortable with Sameer's silent advances and Suman sensed her discomfort.

"Nandini exchange your seat with me ..... This wind is damaging my poor ears and we don't have AC so it won't be nice to close the window" Nandini complied to her demand within a second much to Sameer's dismay. Suman knows her son can be blinded by his friendship but she isn't stupid to not know how cheap and characterless friends he has. She had always tried keeping him away from them in his teenage years but he was always part of them and she couldn't control him as he became harsher with her whenever she tried to stop him from doing anything.

Within 10 minutes they reached the police station and Nandini didn't miss the view of a familiar car parked outside the police station. She was confused with his arrival, why would Adhiraj come here ? Is he here because of Sumit or is it a different matter altogether? And if it's related to Sumit then is he behind his arrest or is it Manik? But how and why ? He doesn't have any reason to push Sumit in jail, he doesn't even know him .... Or does he?

And realization drowned her; it was her foolish mouth who uttered the name of her husband in front of the great Mafia. Why can't her life be peaceful or at least normal without any additional trouble?

"Sir, why has he been arrested?" Sameer asked the constable as soon as they entered the police station.

"You will have to ask that to Sir ...... I'm just a constable" he replied strictly.

"Why can't you tell us ? ..... Where is the officer? ..... How can he arrest our friend?" Kiran spoke in a provoking manner. Constable cringed at his tone, he already guessed these people to be roadside hoodlums by their looks and their manners confirmed it.

"Don't raise your voice otherwise I will lock you up in the same cell with your friend" constable raised his voice along with a stick which made them quiver in fear and they backed out. Meanwhile Nandini's gaze was trying to find Adhiraj and she assumed the police officer must be busy with him.

"Mr. Mohite you may leave now and I will surely inform you if we get any lead towards Manik Malhotra via this case ..... And thanks for showing your support in finding criminals, influential people like you are what we need as a society" Vivek Ahuja, the police officer spoke while coming out of the cabin along with Adhiraj and Nandini almost choked on her saliva by hearing the praise. That caught Adhiraj's attention but he ignored her and after exchanging pleasantries with the officer he moved out. Others looked at him but they were ashamed to face him and he too reacted as if he didn't see anyone because he was truly occupied with his talk with the commissioner and then moved out again.
