Preparations

As the grade 10 class was filled with the playful chattering and delightful smiles, Diya was busy going through her notes while cracking light jokes on her friends.

"Yaar I don't understand, how are you all in one like the men's shampoo bottle?" Kavya asked Diya as she broke her gaze with the book and looked up at Kavya, confused, while Aarushi cackled.

"I mean, you are good at sports, dance, and art. You are also best at studies and then you are a nautanki, harami fireball full of fun. Not to mention, you are the prettiest girl in the school beating that vandri, who is a full on attention seeker." She explained while Diya shrugged her shoulders with a light smile and went back to her book.

"Attention class 10F!" A voice called out as everyone returned to their respective seats and Diya closed her book and drew her attention to the head boy, her veer.

"Hayeee, maro veer class ma aavine maro puro divas manavi lido" Diya said as her two friends smirked and looked at each other.

"Ohoo, maro veer?" Aarushi teased while kavya hooted.

"Oye! You three musketeers, listen to me!" Yash called out.

"Aapko ham kab nahi listen karte?" Diya muttered.

"Ok as I was saying, ab se independence day performance ki tayari shuru hone vali hai, to aaj class sign up ke liye mai aaya hun, har student ko at least 1 event mai participate karna mandatory hai, no exceptions." He spoke sternly, his gaze un lingering from the students.

He started to move forward and started to collect names for the events.

He came up to Diya's bench and asked them,

"Tum dono, dancing aur drama na?" He confirmed from Aarushi and Kavya, followed by their nods.

"Aur, tum?" He asked looking at Diya.

"Mera same, lekin mere mai debate bhi add karna please." She requested.

"Tum debate bhi karti ho?" He asked, intrigued by her multiple personas.

"Haa, kyun? Nahi karna chahiye?" She asked, adding her teasing smile and tone.

"Nahi nahi- aisa kuch nahi" he replied, startled by her response. He quickly jotted it down and went forward, continuing his duty.

"Good morning class" the teacher said, walking in with the math books firmly grasped in her hand.

"Gooddddddd morninggggggggggg Ma'ammmmmmmmmmmmm" The class sang in unison.

"Sit down"

"Thaaaaaaaaaaaaaank youuuuuuuuuu ma'ammmmmmmmmm"

"Shut up! Is this a singing class?!" She shrieked.

"Okay class, I have one sum for you. Let's see who can come and solve it on the board." She said scanning through the students.

"Ma'am, me please!" Vedika squealed

"Okay vedika come up and solve this"

"This is so easy.." vedika said smirking and went up to the board.
