"How did he know my exact size?" I said as I watched myself in the mirror
The dress fit me perfectly as if it was made for me only."Now all you need is a..." Hye-Jin said while putting a beautiful necklace around my neck, "... a necklace. Perfect!"
I traced my fingers over the necklace and then looked at Hye-Jin. She had a big smile on her face and seeing her smile made me smile too unknowingly.
I hugged her. I felt safe with her."Ji-Eun, I have no idea what happened... but just do what you feel is the right thing to do" I looked at her and she gently nodded.
I don't know what is the right thing to do but I know one thing. I want to see him, talk to him, bicker with him, and... be with him.
I had read somewhere that, "Sometimes all you need is a kiss to figure out what is going on"
I didn't know the meaning back then but now I do. And if I do then I am hoping... that he does too."I won't be returning home tonight," Hye-Jin said all of a sudden
"What do you- No way!" I covered my mouth with my hands as I looked at her with amusement
"Taeyong asked me to have dinner with him and... I'll be staying the night with him after that"
"Is this your first time going out in public together ever since the news broke out?!" I asked making her nod. I hugged her yet again.
This time because I was happy."Ji-Eun, make sure you have a good time today okay?"
"Mmh hmm"
[Time skip: The party]
When I arrived at the venue, it was already packed with guests. The entry was filled with reporters from different new channels. The constant camera flashes made it difficult to look anywhere else.
I walked to the entry point and took out my invitation card to show the guards but stopped when I heard someone call my name."Ms. Ji-Eun!" I lifted my head only to find Secretary Shin running towards me while waving at me
"Huh? Secretary Shin?" and soon he was standing in front of me while panting and struggling to catch his breath.
"Thank you... for... hah... showing up for... the... the party" he managed to say while trying to catch his breath
"Huh? Yes yes but are you okay? Do you need water or-" I stopped when he shook his head. He took a deep breath before standing up straight and fixing his tie. He bowed all of a sudden and I did so in return.
What was that?!"Sec-"
"I'll take her from here, it's CEO Jeong's order," He told the guards making them nod as they looked at me and bowed all of a sudden
Why is everyone bowing to me?!"Ms. Ji-Eun, please follow me"
"Huh? Yes!"
I followed him as we kept walking through the endless corridors before we entered the elevator. The event took place in the Four Seasons Hotel in Seoul, one of the most luxurious hotels in Seoul. Of course, after all... it was Jeong Jaehyun who was hosting the event.
I had already visited the venue a few hours back to deliver the cake. Even at that time, it was Secretary Shin who attended to me. I did not see him then. But it made me wonder, he was hosting such a lavish event for the anniversary of his company, he could've asked some famous chef to make the cake. Why did he ask me? What if it does not turn up to his expectations? What if he or the guests don't like the taste?
The elevator stopped on the 23rd floor and I followed Secretary Shin as he led the way. Soon, I was standing in the enormous ballroom. It was filled with people of all ages, dressed in expensive gowns and suits with a glass of either champagne or rose wine in their hand.
Dior, Louis Vuitton, Balmain, Burberry, Hermes, Bvlgari... there was not one luxury brand that was not worn by the people present in the hall.
