Now It's My Turn In The Spotlight

AN: Slight AU of Season 4 where it took them longer than a day to find Eldon's phone, also no cheating plotline because it makes my life significantly easier to exclude it. Written for the prompt "Didn't think I'd be the type to hear a song and cry,
Until you,
Sat in the darkness watching films in black and white" for the March Lyric Jukebox event. Also crossing off my "Thalia" square for bingo.

Decided I had to finish this after 9b because that was incredibly rude of the writers.

The things I'm scared of, they don't even matter.

"C'mon man, you gotta turn that off."

"This was her favorite movie," Eldon says from his blanket cocoon. "Now she's probably watching it with Bartek."

James turns to West and whispers, "Man, is this movie even supposed to be in black and white?"

"I don't know. But it's really bumming me out."

"We gotta find a way to snap him out of this, man. We have the first round tomorrow."

West looks at him. "What are we supposed to do? He's been stuck in this room since we couldn't find his phone."

"I don't know dude, but that much chocolate cannot be good for anyone." James looks back over at the Eldon shaped pile of blankets on the couch. "Yo, Eldon, are you sure you left your phone at the chip shop?"

"That's the last place I had it. Somebody probably stole and now they have all my pictures of Thalia."

"C'mon West, let's go back to the pub, maybe somebody turned it in.

Say that you'll stay with me

They have gone everywhere in London over the past week and Eldon's phone still hasn't turned up. At least they've finally managed to pull Eldon out from his blanket and chocolate cocoon. They made it through the first challenge at least. Although they hadn't needed Eldon for that, and even with the second round looming they've decided it's probably for the best if James and West are the competitors for their team.

They're still celebrating their victory when there's a knock on the hotel room door. The three of them look between themselves, unsure who might possibly be coming to see them in London.

"Thalia? What, what are you doing here?"

"I wanted to come see you. Didn't you get my text?" Eldon sees the other guys duck out of the room in his periphery but he can't focus on anything except Thalia.

He blinks dumbly at her a few times. "I lost my phone. And I, I thought you moved to Poland to be with Bartek."

Thalia shakes her head. "I went to Poland for my family and to dance. I don't want to be with Bartek, I love you."

Eldon doesn't remember much after that. He vaguely remembers fainting, possibly multiple times. When it finally feels like he has his feet under him again he says, "I love you too."

AN: Admittedly, not some of my best work. Can you tell I'm far less comfortable writing these characters?
