Chapter 19 - Reminiscence

"Are you out of your mind?! What do you mean 'It will be her decision'? Please tell me this is some kind of a stupid joke, Sidharth"

"Mahhi, I'm serious. I am."

"(sigh) Sidharth, we know everything is messed in your head and we do understand but... that doesn't mean you'll take such decisions... Jay please make him understand this is not right."

"Sidharth, right now doctor is checking her, suppose if she gets her memory, I know she won't leave but if she decides to leave would you be able to survive without her? And it's NOT just only about you both...."

"I don't know... Jay, I-I still feel so guilty for what I have done, everyone thought she died but she was with me all these years and I just kept lying to them, all these years even after knowing they are her real family and... Kartik was her choice, she always chose him it was never me... and I'm sure he will come here. I always knew this day will come; this dream of mine is not forever I'll need to wake up one day... I always knew it every lie end one day"

"STOP- stop blaming yourself, we both know whose decision it was and-"

Jay stops talking as he sees Dr. Kapoor entering the living area, he takes his place on the couch and clears his throat before speaking

"I can't say anything what's happening to her at this moment... I tried to wake her up and she started murmuring something I couldn't understand, I inject her with a sleeping medicine, let's see what happens when she wakes up till then all we can do is wait... Sidharth, please tell me each and everything that happened"

"My team has checked almost every stations and airports all over Mumbai and there is no record of them checking out of Pune in fact not even a single hotel"

"We are wasting our time if he's not here then he must be in Canada, I think we must go there"

"You're right Kartik, even if we do not find him there, we can at least collect some information about him"

"I'm checking the flights....... Next flight to Canada is of half past ten and we'll reach there by.... Which is after two hours, is it fine? Shall I book three tickets?"

(Shenaya and inspector nods)

"It's twenty-five to ten we shall pack our stuffs. Kartik, shall I update uncle about it?"

"No, I'll tell him... don't worry about it let's get going"

"Yes doctor... Jay brought that toy when our kid was six months old it was his favorite

Before he could say anything else Sidharth's phone starts ringing he gets up and walk towards another side of the room to attend the call after five minutes of talking over phone he walks towards jay and others with a worried expression.

"Jay, those Japanese investors have arrived"

"What?! But weren't they supposed to come on Monday"?

"I know, but how can we leave in this situation"

"We must Sidharth our company have good relations with them that we don't want to ruin it plus it's a big deal you know it well"

"You'll should go, I'm here for her if she wakes up, there's nothing for you both to worry about"
