Chapter 2 - The Shock

Mom is Crying since an hour now while holding my hands.
"C'mon maa it was just a small accident, the doc said I am absolutely fine now" I explained

"Doctor?" Mom asked with a confused look.
She immediately turned to Shenaya and asked her " what is she saying? Doctor? Accident ? Where did you find her?"
Before Shenaya could utter a word, I stated "Maa what's wrong with you all? You'll took me to the hospital after my car Accident, paid the discharge fees and everything & now you're saying as if you don't know?"

I started feeling unwell again , I felt some pressure in my head, I tried to stand but my knees became weak.

Shenaya and Maa held me & helped me to walk towards my bedroom.
I sat on the bed and when I looked around, everything was different! Even the paint on the wall, I think they even changed my bed ! Just in 2 days ? ! I felt a surge of anxiety.

Shehnaaz fall asleep on her bed.

On that very moment, Shenaya pulled her mom out of the bedroom & closed the door behind her back.

"What is happening?" Mom asked curiously.

"I don't know Maa, all of a sudden I got a call and it was her! She asked me to pick her up from the hospital"
Placing her hand on her forehead Shenaya continued
"Maa, I don't think she remember that, she was gone for 7 years !"

"Ohh God! But-but we must know where she was for 7 years ?!" Mom questioning

"How can we ask her Maa ? Can't you look at her? She is still unconscious.
And maa, she even asked me that how did I managed to get driving licence in just a month of training!
And do you remember? that when we lost her 7 years back, it was just a month back then I had joined driving school"

Mom listens to Shenaya shockingly!

Shenaya asked "Maa , shall I call the doctor?"

"Not now Shenaya, let her sleep and tomorrow I will visit that hospital, I want to know who bought her there and who paid her bills, we need to enquire."
Shenaya nod agreeing to her Mom.

Next Morning.

I woke up on the sound of door bell, I think dad is here after his morning walk. Yesterday he wasn't home and I slept early too.
I got up and washed my face and rushes towards the living room.
But it wasn't Dad who rang the bell it was Dolly Aunty our neighbour. Bindra's are very close to our family, and Dolly Aunty is like my Maasi.

She was sitting on the couch and talking to my mom, she stood up as she see me & hugged me and sounded emotional.

"Don't stress yourself much, I am always there for you beta!" She said emotionally.

I tried to flash a smile, then I rushed towards the kitchen. I found bread butter for my breakfast.

After few minutes mom enters the kitchen & she asked me what I want for lunch today.
"Palak paneer" I replied

"Maa where's dad?" I asked her but there was an awkward silence and she didn't replied so I asked her again
"Where's Dad Maa?"
