Prelude

Sometimes love comes from the most unexpected places, like a whispered secret in a crowded room.

Sometimes it comes from the person you least expected, the one who blended into the background of your life.

Sometimes it's beyond your wildest imagination, a fairy tale that unfolds in the most ordinary of ways.

And sometimes, it's below your expectations, a gentle hum of a love that grows louder with each passing day.

All I can say is that, I could relate...

Chapter 1: CAN YOU MOVE?

2:09pm

This was my first Christmas without my dad.

I curled up in the covers of my sheets in my bed still deep in thought.

Tears stung my eyes.

I couldn't bare the thought of my father in the deep parts of the forest probably getting mauled by some wild bears.

"Stop Cassie" I scolded myself from thinking any further and pushed back tears

I stood up from bed and went straight to the kitchen to get some milk and some cookies to clear my head and then

"Ahh"I screamed searching for the switch to put on the kitchen light

I had bumped into a body on my way to the fridge and it was a hard one

It better not be one of my mom's boyfriends

I hate those guys

Sometimes I just feel like she hides her grief behind unnecessary dating.

She changes boyfriends more than I change my clothes.

"Can you move" a deep,husky but smooth male voice ordered

He then walked over to the switch and switched the lights on.

The sudden increase in brightness stung my eyes and I covered them.

"I thought this house was vampire free"he said
"Very funny" I responded back and removed my hand from my eyes still squinting due to the brightness of the light.

Then I saw, him

He, was in my kitchen with his fruit juice in hand.

The Matt Brawnes,was in my kitchen staring at me with a smirk on his face.

He had deep blue eyes that no one could mistake even if they were closed and a muscular,athletic physique that rippled through the shirt he had on with every little movement he made,his brown hair that always looked great.

This guy was every girl's dream; Perfection.

I didn't know him personally but I had heard from people that had met him personally and they described him as arrogant,hot,handsome,confident, nonchalant,an exceptional basketball player and most importantly a player.

He was a player in two games and I can't tell which one he played best;The girls in my school or the basketballs at the gym.

Petition for "playing" to be made an actual sport.

Forget what I said about my mom's dating life this guy was a beast in playing girls.

A real player definitely.
