This is Demon slayer/Kimetsu no yaiba/KNY only, there may be little references throughout the story that involves other stuff, such as Music.
Sekido is the one that gets possessed, Aizetsu is more of the main character here, since most of the fandom including me, feel like him and Sekido would be more close to eachother than the others.
It is a human version, besides anyone that gets infected/possessed.
Once a character is possessed, they're not human anymore, it's more of a creature type, and it could be based on many things, like animals, myths.
