Sorry to disappoint, as this is not a new chapter (It will be out this week tho, promise 👀) but I wanted to do this as I've gotten a lot of DMs asking about what Omegaverse Universe exactly am I basing it off. In the world of Omegaverse exists MULTIPLE fan made Universes with different details and functions. He's mine (and most of the Omegaverse stories I write) are based around my own fan made Omegaverse Universe with multiple characteristics of different Omegaverse Universes. THE BASICS
ALPHAS •Usually large and of big build. •Are Aggressive and considered animalistic. •Release Pheromones called Musk that tend to have a more masculine scent, Sandalwood, Hickory, ect •Make up a 30% of the population. •Tend to have high ranking jobs or positions. •Can be either Male or Female and can Impregnate Betas or Omegas. Female Alphas can get pregnant. •Have Ruts which are considered a high sexual peak for impregnating. Can last days or weeks.
BETAS •Considered "common" •Tend to have more middle class jobs. •Can be either Male or Female, do not excrete pheromones, Only Female Beta's can give birth and only Male Beta's can impregnate. •Make up about a 50% of the population.
OMEGAS •Have a smaller build and have wide hips. Tend to look more sexually appealing. •Release Pheromones called Fragrance that smell of more sweet scents like Roses, Cake, Orange zest, ect. •Are not commonly hired due to the risk of Heats. •Can be either male or female, either genders can not impregnate but may become pregnant. •Make up only 20% with most of the Omega population being born Female. •Have Heats which are considered a very fertile window. An unexpected desire to mate is common. •Omegas give birth anally and have a fairly close resemblance to female beta pregnancies. The only difference is that they may grow breast tissue to nourish their children, the breast tissue returns to normal when their child stops breastfeeding. (Around a year)
TERMINOLOGY
Suppressants •A type of medication given orally or in form of injection to diminish the effects of Heats or Ruts. In some very rare cases it can take away a heat or Rut all together. •Can be considered birth control for Omegas but may become pregnant even while taking them.
Marking •Considered the highest bonding point of a Alpha and Omega couple. •Done to ensure the Fragrance released by the Omega cannot be detected by anyone other than their Bonded Mate.
Heats •A heat is when an Omega is the most fertile. •A heat comes with a range of side effects; light headedness, high temperature, lack of cognitive ability and high libido. •Heats can be subsided by suppressants or Sexual intercourse that ends with a Knot. However, it can also be subsided without knotting but may take multiple hours of sex. •Heats can be tracked but are still slightly unpredictable. •During the heat, omegas will actively secrete a fragrance to attract Alphas and may make rushed decisions. They also secrete more lubricant to increase the chance of pregnancy.
Ruts •Commonly known as "Alphas heat" •A moment where their judgment is clouded by the need to reproduce. •Can be dangerous for the Omega, as the Alpha may become unconscious of their actions and may hurt them. •Can be triggered by an Omegas heat but usually happens once or twice a year naturally. •During sex, the Alpha will release bonding pheromones to stimulate or to diminish the effects of the Omegas heat. •Can be stopped by Knotting or ejaculation.
Knotting/Knots •Found at the base of the penis of Alphas, regardless of birth gender. •When an Alpha ejaculates the Knot swells, if inside an omega it can cause them to get stuck together for 10 minutes to an hour. •The knotted pair would have to wait for the swelling to go down. Forcefully pulling the knot out would become painful and may even cause tearing.
Collars •Commonly known as "The poor man's Contraceptive" •Mainly seen on Low income Omegas that cannot purchase Heat suppressants. •A strong leather or metal collar with a lock in the front of it. •It is to stop undesired Alphas from marking an omega. •Some brands of collars even include Fragrance Blockers. •Rarely used now that Suppressants are less expensive but are used between alpha and Omega couples when having sex to avoid marking.

Cool facts about He's mine •The original concept was that Nunew would wear a Collar but it was scrapped since I thought it would be weird for a famous closeted omega to wear one in public. •I grab a lot of inspiration from Omegaverse manga like Tadaima Okairi, Waterside Night and a few others! •Originally I was going to make Nat a Beta to show exactly how rare Male omegas were but decided against it since i wanted to show that omegas do have success!
