"Listen- Listen Lopez!" Sirius struggled, "It was all in good fun! Right Snivellus?" He glanced down at Snape, who only glared at him in return.

"Rio! Rio!" I called, "Put him down!"

I saw my boyfriend look at me with a look I've never seen before in my life. It looked like hatred. I backed up before watching his eyes soften towards me.

"Mon coeur, my love I was just...helping Snape."

I tried to force a smile before he dropped Sirius to the ground. I lead Rio away from the mess, before it got any worse.

"Listen," I whispered, "I know a less violent way you can help Snape."

He seemed hesitant to hear me out but with some convincing (and a few kisses), he agreed to help me.

"So you'll talk to Snape about asking Elise to the ball?" I asked, he nodded. He squeezed my hand tighter as we walked down the corridor towards the common room.

"I have to go get ready, I told Charlotte and Elise we would all go dress shopping together." I told him, he smiled down at me.

"Okay love. I'm very excited to see you in whatever you pick." He let go of my hand and I walked into the common room. Charlotte was already standing by the fireplace, waiting for me.

"Char! Let's go dress shopping!" I yelled in excitement, she smiled back.

"Right now?" She asked, I noticed she was holding something in her hand.

"Yeah, whatcha got?" I pointed to the object in her hand, she unfolded it and showed me. It was a note in the shape of a heart.

"It says, 'my soul has traveled long and far to find yours, meet me at the Christmas Ball, in the corridor by the stairs before the Great Hall. I'll have a bouquet of pink lilies for you.'"

I gasped, "Wow Char! You're finally going to meet your admirer!"

She smiled, "I love pink lilies."

I saw Sirius out of the corner of my eye, he was behind facing Charlotte's back, sitting in an armchair by the fireplace, looking at Charlotte. He must've let her into the common room or something.

Then the common door opened, and in stormed Elise. She looked furious.

"Stupid Black! Why don't I turn your hair a different color and see how you like it!" She screamed, pulling out her wand ready to hex him. Sirius had jumped out of his pensive state and casted a bubble around himself.

"Back off Rookwood! It was harmless! And James was in on it too!" He defended. Elise didn't care, she sent hex after hex, until eventually Charlotte and I pulled her back.

"You're a prick!" She spat, as we both dragged her out of the room. Charlotte was trying to calm her down with words, while I was just holding her arms back, her wand now between my teeth.

"Hmm huh dhmm shug!" I groaned, rolling my eyes at the wand in my mouth. When Charlotte calmed Elise, she took it out of my mouth and stuffed it in her pocket.

"Let's take our minds off of this and go dress shopping!" I restated. Charlotte nodded and Elise rolled her eyes.

It took a little bit longer than we thought to get to Hogsmeade, but we still have plenty of time before dinner.

The dress shop was filled with dresses and suits, the walls were a soft lilac purple, with tan accents and a beautiful french woman at the counter.

"Bonjour ladies, how can I help you today?"

Charlotte's face got pink and Elise was still too upset to speak, so I told the woman we were looking for dresses for the upcoming Christmas Ball next week. She smiled and nodded, telling us lots of girls and boys were coming in and out looking for dresses and suits.

After searching the racks, I held up a light blue chiffon gown with sequenced straps. Charlotte's eyes widened,

"Rue! That's perfect for you!" She smiled, holding up a light pink dress with a silver sparkly belt in the middle. It was so her.

"And that's perfect for you!" I said, searching for Elise. She raised an eyebrow at a short black lace dress. I nodded to her in approval.

"Let's try them on!" I smiled, pushing the girls and myself into the back of the store near the fitting rooms.

I came out first, the woman who owned the shop expressed that the dress was made for me. Then Elise came out, she looked uncomfortable but then again, she never wore dresses. The woman and I both complimented Elise and eased her into choosing that one. She agreed it was a good first dress to have.

Then Charlotte came out, and I swear she looked like a princess. The gown fitted her so well and I couldn't have been prouder to have anyone else as my best friend.

"I love this one!" She exclaimed, beaming. The woman took our measurements to make a few minor adjustments. Then we paid her for her assistance and the dresses, she told us she would make the altercations and then have an owl deliver them.

We thanked her before leaving, by then it was close to dinner so we made our way to the castle.

I walked in with Elise and Charlotte, we were talking about her secret admirer's gift again.

"Why would anyone not want you to know it was them? What's the point of that?" Elise asked, before splitting off to find Reece. I looked at Charlotte,

"Do you have any idea of who it could be?" She shook her head and then made her way to the Hufflepuff table, where I saw Rio screwing around with some of his friends.

I turned around to see Remus and Sirius staring at me. I furrowed my brow and walked towards them.

"Okay what's with the staring." I crossed my arms.

Sirius looked down and swallowed hard. I sat down and started to gather some food, I gestured for an answer. Remus didn't say anything.

"Guys, really is there something wrong with my hair or something? Do I have three eyes?"

"What did Charlotte have in her hand?" Sirius muttered, keeping his voice down. I scrunched up my face,

"A letter from her- oh my god. It's you!" I looked at Sirius, he rolled his eyes.

"It's not-"

"It's me." Remus interjected, finally making eye contact with me. My eyes widened,

"You like Charlotte!?" I whispered, he nodded.

Sirius grabbed my arms and pulled me closer,
"You must swear on your brother's life you won't tell anyone especially her!"

"I won't I swear on Reece's life!"

At least that's starting to make more sense.
