After being called by Sen. Risa asking me about a specific someone I used to date, I couldn't answer well since I didn't know much about her. Ngayon na iniisip ko ni date ko sya kahit Ang alam ko lang ay farmer sya. No background checks, no investigating, no nothing. I just trusted her.

Currently on my way to bamban to visit my.. ex if I could even call her that. The last time I saw her was probably mid 2015? I really don't know much about this spy thing but after watching their Senate hearings, I had double thoughts about my lov--- my ex.

After a solid hour or so of driving, I went to a nearby fast food chain bathroom to make myself look presentable and so that I could call her to know that I'd be visiting.

After trying to find the right number for what felt like an eternity, I finally got her contact number.

"Mayor Alice speaking." I heard her soft voice, causing a slight deja Vu feeling. Though I always spoke to her personally back then and not virtually.

"Ahm, mayor of bamban.. perhaps do you recognize my tone? my dear, I'll be visiting so I'm calling to let you know." I spoke making sure my tone was friendly to not make her feel uncomfortable.

"y/n? oh uh- of course.. I'll be waiting for you." She said as I heard her fumble slightly.

On the way to her office, I was damned nervous. I don't know why but just full on nervous •

Knocking on her door was even harder, ugh ewan ko ba sa Sarili ko. She opened the door for me and shit kala ko ba naka move on na ko, bat ambilis ng tibok ng puso ko? I couldn't help but take in her soft features, and that damned welcoming smile..

"Ay, welcome back to bamban, y/n." She welcomed me escorting me to her office I could only nod as I couldn't bear to even look at her without blushing, she sat down on her office chair and waited for me to speak up.

Though I calmed myself down knowing this was serious

"So I'll get straight to the point. Risa invited me to get interviewed.. what exactly is going on?" I sighed, as I saw her trying to find the words to explain.

"actually, tomorrow in the afternoon I was asked to come with you to another senate hearing." I stood up, approaching her, circling her, before taking her chin gently so I could look at her directly.

"Well, I was accused of being related to such things and being a Chinese spy-" I cut her off with an eye roll.

"Cut the act, my dear. I'd rather you admit than having me to find out. I can see through your lies." I frowned, as she looked away contemplating what else she could do.

"Alright, fine.. let's discuss everything tomorrow then-?" She groaned before taking my hand off her chin. "y/n we both know I'm no such thing." she said through gritted teeth.

I could only chuckle at the sight, it took all my might to be all serious but with her? I couldn't. it's impossible not to tease her. "Alright mayora. no need to get defensive."

The next day, I got ready early for the Senate hearing. Driving over to her office, as we discussed a few things we agreed to keep secret and a few things we would say.

Though there were 2 hours before the hearing we were already done discussing and while she was stressed i was doing nothing but watch. it was obvious she hid something but I'm not sure what.

"Alice." I poked her cheek causing her to turn to me.

"what?" she said softly.

okay fuck risk it. I gave her a small peck on the cheek waiting for a reaction-- oh, well shit. Blushing? is that good or bad? I don't know..

after a few more moments, another peck was returned from her causing me to be a bit surprised. Didn't expect to create a make out session but why not?

I kissed her again, our lips colliding as they did a few years back. Everything felt hot, goodness.. I slightly pinned her as my hands traveled down her body. Yet, before I could do anything she pulled away after hearing a knock. Ugh, I fixed myself up pretending to look over a few files as I saw her lawyer. Standing up and excusing myself to the bathroom.

Now, during the Senate hearing, I was asked a few questions, such as my documents proving that I was Filipino, that I was innocent.

also trying to cover for Alice a bit, despite not knowing much.

"And what were your relationship with Mayora Alice guo?" Sen. Risa asked.

"We were lov-" I got cut off by Alice.

"We were friends." She cleared her throat.

Making me raise a brow, though I was hurt I couldn't help but smirk. I thought we both agreed to tell the public.

"Ah right.. we were friends, nothing more, nothing less."
