Embers In The Familiar Abyss

In the house where shadows whisper and walls confide,
I walk the halls, a wanderer inside.
Pictures hang, frames of gilded gold,
Yet the warmth in their smiles grows cold.

A haven, the dream I've chased for so long,
A chorus of voices, a harmonious song.
But the melodies sour, the notes turn bleak,
And in the silence, my heart grows weak.

Underneath the roof where love should reign,
Echoes of laughter twist into pain.
The flaws, the cracks, they're all too clear,
In this fragile refuge, I disappear.

A tapestry woven with threads of lies,
Promises unravel, each one denies.
The fabric of kinship, so frail, so torn,
In its folds, a legacy of scorn.

Through windows I gaze at stars so bright,
Wishing on fragments of distant light.
A haven, a beacon, a lighthouse tall,
But here I drift, in the darkness, I fall.

Symbols of love etched in every room,
Turn to ghosts that whisper doom.
An illusion of sanctuary, a fractured dream,
In the night, their silence screams.

I search for warmth in a house so cold,
In their arms, I still feel alone, untold.
A haven I wanted, a sanctuary, a home,
Yet here I wander, forever to roam.

In the end, the shadows are my kin,
The whispers my solace, my refuge within.
A perfect illusion, a facade, a play,
In this orphaned heart, I'll find my own way.
