Chapter 2

"Your first clue is somewhere where it burns. It's a little checkered, don't take any risky turns."

I read the note, confused. What did it mean?

I've never been great at riddles, but I never really cared much. It never really mattered to me.

But now, it matters more than ever. And I have no clue what it means....

I turned to Quest Marker.

"Do you know what it's talking about?" I asked.

Quest shook his head.

"No, I don't. I would guess it's somewhere inside, since I go all around the area but I'm always outside, and the only place that burns outside is the desert, but there isn't any "checkered" area in it," said Quest.

"Do you know who might know?" I asked.

"Hm... We could try to find a map, but I don't know where one would be. The only cartographer I know lives thousands of years in the past," said Quest Marker.

"What?" I asked.

"Nothing, ignore that," said Quest.

"Okaay...." 

"Maybe you could get one of the robots to make you one? By the robots I mean Security Marker and Industrial Marker," said Quest.

"Yeah, I'll do that. Thanks Quest! You can go back to your adventure now," I said.

"Alright. If you need me, you can find me... In many locations. Hopefully you're lucky enough to find me in the right one," said Quest.

"Okay, will do. Bye," I said.

"Bye!"

I walked back to the area with Purple Marker, after getting lost in the snow biome a couple times. I haven't been here in so long...

I eventually found the factory, where I remembered the robots being. I walked inside.

"Hey, Security Marker," I said.

"Hello, Serenity. What Are You Here For?" asked Security Marker.

"Would you happen to know how to make a map of the area?" I asked.

"ERROR. RESTARTING."

"...well you weren't helpful. Maybe I'll ask Industrial..."

I walked into the next room, but before I could say anything to Industrial, something caught my attention.

I saw another room next to the one I was in. It had a checkered floor and the red parts were glowing...

There was also a sign that said "This sign is here to distract you". I don't think it's important though.

Wait- Checkered?

I went into the room and put my hand close to one of the red squares, and sure enough, it was very hot.

This must be the room the clue was talking about!

I looked around the room for a second, before I spotted the clue a couple rows of squares in front of me. I couldn't really read what it was saying, all I could read was "god", "time", and "held".

The only gods I know of are Wild Card and Space Marker... (A/N: Not much is said about Space Marker so in my headcanon he's like the god of space or something. Maybe guardian. Or both.)

I should probably grab the clue to read the full thing, because I once again don't think I would have to go to the Forbidden Maze and Space Marker (to my knowledge) doesn't have anything to do with time.

I carefully jumped over the squares until I could reach it. I'm rather good at obbies, given that I have to do a VERY hard one whenever I want to see my brother, Danger Marker. So this one was pretty easy.

I grabbed the clue, headed back to the start of the obby, and read it.

"A powerful god, frozen in time. Your clue is held by him, covered in grime."

No, Quest knowing about the Washable Kingdom is not significant in the future. That's just a little fun fact I wanted to add.
