The outro in the video might be a little late so just ignore it, and this video means pretty much nothing in the actual story. I just love the song and I love Joey so I had to put it in there, for Joey. And because it's pretty much the main character development in the story, but like I said, ignore the outro!

My eyes searched the area for anything, a simple thing to entertain me other than what I was already doing. I found my friends in the corner making out with random girls they've probably never met before. There was a brilliant orange light that crackled in the center of the field, and around it were logs that sat couples and friends. My ex girlfriend was currently dramatizing every word that came out of her drunk mouth and her boyfriend was trying desperately not to let her make out with the wrong dude. The amount of people that sat around the fire was astounding, mostly because this was supposed to be a small dorm room get together and turned out to be a very large bonfire.

As my eyes drifted over to the edge of the field and nearest to the thin strip of woods separating us from the lake, my current girlfriend reminded me of the current excessive we were practicing. I kissed her slightly and she kept going as she put her hands up against the tree I supported myself with. I'd been making out with this girl for six minutes and I didn't see the point in it at all. I slowly began to stop doing anything involving her, and I could definitely tell she didn't like it. By the time I'd stopped kissing her she'd just up and walked away, leaving me to fix my hair and readjust my shirt.

I had on my favorite blue muscle-T that had the words Totally Kick-Ass on it in black with my jeans hanging just low enough so my grey Calvin Klein's showed. My spiky brown hair fell into my eyes and I readjusted it back to the spot where it was spiked down right over my right eye. I remembered the task I had at hand and resumed searching for something to do other than leave early, and in the corner were two people just holding hands. They were the odd goth couple with the black and red hair and black guy-liner when the girl where's barely any makeup. I found no interest watching them think of ways to kill each other and making it look like Romeo and Juliet. Juliet, that was the girls name, I'd want her as my lawyer if she made it past finals.

Just as I was about to find my designated driver and leave, a person caught my eye. In the corner of the field there was a silhouette, a guy for sure, but all he were doing was drinking and looking around. Kinda like me, but I had no clue who this person was. I thought maybe he was just a new guy and had transferred to law school not long ago, but I wouldn't care anyway I'm pretty sure I'm gonna change career suggestions soon. My law career isn't heading for the direction that my parents had hoped it to, and I'm not quite sure I could withstand all the bullshit excuses anymore.

The guy moved slightly and the light from the fire gave me the right opportunity to get a good look at his body. He looked slightly scrawny but pretty buff for such a tall guy, he wore a red and green flannel shirt and tattered jeans. His sharp jawline complements his steely-gray eyes, and his naturally black hair shimmered a sort of blue in the colorful crackling light. He searched the whole area before his eyes landed on my gaze and we had an odd staring contest for about a minute before he is interrupted and is forced to look away. I looked down and thought about him and his eyes, his gaze was so captivating.

When I looked up he was slowly approaching my tree, I started panicking inside and when I realized I was shifting uncomfortably I calmed down and watched as he tilted his plastic red cup up and threw it to the side. As he got closer his appearance began disappearing behind the fire and a sliver of disappointment trickled its way into my heart. Luckily he reappeared this time with two cups, and he made sure no one was watching him walking over to me. He walked passed me and handed the other cup to me as he rested on a tree two oaks over. I thought it over and accepted his generous offer, I still need to get my head around what my feelings are doing but I guess a little drink won't kill me.
