Kairav paced anxiously in the waiting area, his heart heavy with worry for his sister. Every passing second felt like an eternity as he prayed fervently for her recovery.

Finally, the doctor emerged from the ICU, and Kairav rushed to him, his eyes filled with desperation. "Doctor, Akshara ki tabiyat kaisi hai? Please, tell me she'll be okay," he pleaded.

The doctor looked at Kairav with a mix of sympathy and frustration. "And who are you to the patient?" he asked sternly, his tone tinged with reproach.

"I'm her brother," Kairav replied, his voice trembling with emotion. "Please, doctor, just tell me about her condition."

The doctor's expression softened slightly as he explained, "Your sister was brought in with internal injuries from an accident. We're still conducting tests to determine the extent of the damage, but I won't lie to you – her condition is critical."

Kairav's heart sank at the doctor's words, a cold dread settling in the pit of his stomach. "But why? Why is she in such a critical state?" he asked, his voice barely above a whisper.

The doctor's gaze hardened as he replied, "Because she wasn't brought to the hospital sooner. She should have been examined immediately after the accident, but it seems she was brought here hours later. We've lost valuable time, and now your sister's life hangs in the balance."

Kairav felt a wave of guilt wash over him as he realized the gravity of the situation. He had failed his sister when she needed him the most, and now she was paying the price.

Before Kairav could ask more, the doctor continued, "And to make matters worse, her pregnancy has drained her energy, further complicating her condition."

Kairav's mind reeled with shock and disbelief. The doctor's mention of Akshara's pregnancy confused him. Hadn't she miscarried? Then what was this pregnancy the doctor was referring to? Before he could ask more, the doctor abruptly left as some nurse called him urgently.

How could this be happening? His sister was fighting for her life, and he was powerless to help her.

As the weight of the doctor's words settled over him, Kairav felt a surge of overwhelming emotion. He sank into a nearby chair, his head in his hands, as tears of anguish streamed down his face.

In that moment, all he could do was pray – pray for his sister's survival, pray for her strength, pray for a miracle that would bring her back to him.

The hours stretched into an eternity as Kairav waited. He watched as the medical staff wheeled Akshara away for various tests, his heart sinking with each passing moment. The waiting room's sterile environment did little to comfort him. He paced back and forth, occasionally stopping to lean against the wall, his thoughts consumed by fear and hope.

Kairav managed to pull himself together long enough to pay the bills, each transaction feeling like a punch to the gut. He kept glancing at his phone, hoping for any update on Akshara's condition. Finally, after what felt like an eternity, a peon approached him. "Sir, doctor ne bulaya hai," the peon said, his voice a beacon in Kairav's dark world.

With a mixture of dread and determination, Kairav followed the peon to the doctor's cabin. Every step felt like a lifetime as he braced himself for the news about his sister's condition.

Kairav's heart pounded with anxiety as he entered the room, hoping for a glimmer of hope amidst the uncertainty. Every step felt like a lifetime as he braced himself for the news about his sister's condition.

Inside the cabin, the doctor explained Akshara's medical situation in technical terms that Kairav struggled to comprehend. He mentioned complex internal injuries, describing in detail the severity of the damage caused by the accident.

"Despite the injuries, her twins are still alive," the doctor said, his voice grave. "But the trauma has put her in an extremely critical condition. We need to perform surgery immediately to stabilize her and address the internal bleeding."

Kairav's world shattered as he absorbed the doctor's words. His sister, fighting for her life, carrying twins, and facing the brink of death – it was too much to bear.

Tears streamed down his face as he struggled to find the strength to speak. "Do whatever it takes, doctor," he whispered hoarsely, his voice breaking with emotion. "Save my sister and her babies. Please."

The doctor nodded solemnly, his expression reflecting the gravity of the situation. "We'll do our best, but I must warn you, the surgery is risky. We need your consent before proceeding."

Kairav's heart clenched with fear, but he knew he had to trust the doctors. He wiped away his tears and nodded, his voice barely a whisper. "Do it. Save her."

As he left the doctor's cabin, Kairav felt a sense of overwhelming despair wash over him. His sister's life hung in the balance, and he could do nothing but pray for her survival.

In that moment of helplessness, all he could do was cling to hope and pray for a miracle that would bring his sister back to him.

With a heavy heart, Kairav remembered the frantic moments when he had rushed to console Mimi, leaving her at the Goenka Mansion, only to return and find out that Akshu was missing and that Abhimanyu had divorced her. His anguish had turned into a frenzy as he lashed out at Abhimanyu and scoured the city in search of his sister.

Finally tracking her through the family's tracking app, he had raced to her location, only to find her unconscious and fighting for her life.

As he sat in the waiting room of the hospital, his mind consumed with worry for Akshara, he realized that he needed to inform the family of her condition. With trembling hands, he dialed his bade papa's number and waited anxiously for him to pick up.

"Hello?" came his bade papa's voice, tinged with concern.

"Bade papa," Kairav choked out, his voice thick with emotion. "It's Akshu... she's in the hospital."

A moment of silence followed, and then he heard the sharp intake of breath on the other end of the line. "What happened? Is she okay?" his bade papa asked, his voice filled with alarm.

Kairav took a deep breath, trying to steady himself. "She's critical, bade papa," he replied, his voice trembling. "The doctors are doing everything they can, but it's... it's not looking good."

A heavy silence hung in the air as Kairav and his bade papa absorbed the gravity of the situation. Just then, the call abruptly cut off, leaving Manish staring at his phone, his face pale and his hands shaking. He exchanged a worried glance with Swarna before they both quickly moved to gather the family, their movements driven by a newfound urgency.

As Kairav waited anxiously in the corner, unable to sit down due to his overwhelming anxiety, he observed the flurry of activity around Akshara's room. Nurses and medical staff hurried in and out, their faces tense with urgency. He could only imagine that they were preparing her for the critical surgery that could determine her fate. His mind raced with thoughts of Akshara's fragile condition and the slim chances the doctor had spoken of.

Minutes stretched into eternity, and then he saw them – his family rushing towards him with tear-stained faces, their eyes filled with fear and desperation. Swarna reached him first, her face a mask of anguish. Kairav's heart clenched as he cried out, tears streaming down his face, and lunged forward to embrace his badi maa. Swarna held him tightly, her own tears falling freely, as Manish stood beside them, his face set in a grim expression of determination and fear.

Coming back from the hug, Kairav saw that Manish and Swarna had brought along Aarohi, who looked extremely weak and was crying too. Aarohi's presence was a stark reminder of the double loss they were facing today – the uncertainty of Akshara's life and the pain of losing Neil. His heart broke at the sight of Aarohi, her face pale and tear-stained, her body trembling with grief. Without a word, she stumbled forward and wrapped her arms around him, seeking warmth and comfort in the midst of their shared sorrow.

Together, they stood in the hospital corridor, their hearts heavy with fear and uncertainty, but united in their love for Akshara. And as they cried together, their tears mingling with the silent prayers that filled the air, they knew that no matter what happened next, they would face it together – as a family, bound by love and hope.
