Alastor awoke with a start when there was banging on his door and he quickly hurried to put his pacifier back in the box and to get dressed in his regular suit: a white dress shirt with a black waist coat and trousers to match, if you asked him it severely lacked colour.
He walked down the stairs, combing through his hair with his fingers as an attempt to make it look somewhat presentable, he opens the door and a miserable looking Husk stands there, glaring daggers at him.
He looks up Alastor up and down before he speaks "Good enough, c'mon." He waves for Alastor to follow him as he turns around
"Where are we going?" Alastor asks, with his usual smile
"Oh" a cruel smile forms on Husk's lips "I have an oveord meeting today and YOU'RE coming with me"An… overlord meeting, Alastor hadn't seen them since… he pushes the memory out of his head, not wanting to remember the day he lost his soul.
"Surely your fiancé would be the proper choice to accompany you to an event such as this?" Alastor retorts
"Are you questionin' me, Al?!" Husk looks at him dangerously which sends a shiver down Alastor's spine, though he didn't let Husk know that
"Not at all, my good man. Please, lead the way."Husk is clearly on some kind of power trip as he grabs Alastor by the front of the shirt, his eyes boring into Alastor's. His breath stinks of booze and cheap cigarettes, he's expecting something more expensive from an overlord
"I give the commands. Not you." He pushes him back, releasing his grip on Alastor "Now come ON."
Alastor follows quickly behind him as he snaps his fingers at some poor sinner he also owns as the young man opens the car door.
He feels Husk's hands on him as he's roughly pushes in and before he's even recovered the other man has gotten in after him as the door slams shut with the car starting up only a few seconds later.
Husk's voice falls on deaf ears as Alastor can only wonder what the other overlords think of him now and before he knows it they're at the Vees' tower. The VEES.
Alastor sighs at the idea of his greatest enemy seeing him now. He hates to imagine the way he'd mock at taunt him, seeing how far he had really fallen from the pedestal that was his status.
Before he knows it he's being led in by the gambling overlord himself and when he enters the building he can immediately feel all eyes on him, but he tries his best to hold his head high and ignore the stares.
He hears Vox cackle at him before speaking "it's been a long time since I've seen YOUR face, Al!"
Alastor ignores him, he knows if he responds it'd mean trouble from Husk so he keeps his mouth shut as Velvette's voice cuts above everyone else's.
"Okay, sit down, Wankers!"Everyone takes their seats as a chain appears around Alastor's neck and yanks him towards Husk, forcing him to sit next to the man that owns him.
Alastor doesn't listen to a word that's being spoken. He hates this. He hates the way the other overlords can see just how far he's called from grace, despising the way Vox's eyes scan over him. Mocking him. Mocking how far he's fallen. He remembers his glory days. The way sinners would shake and run as they'd hear the infamous Radio Demon coming their way, now he was nothing more than just another sinner who doesn't own their soul.
As he reminisces he finds himself plummeting into headspace again, this shouldn't be happening, he regressed last night - granted, he doesn't regress as much as he should - but still! He shouldn't be feeling the urge for another few days as he desperately fights off little space.
He silently pleads with the very God that condemned him to not do this. Not right now, but he still kept that smile plastered on his face, even if it was beginning to falter.
Husk noticed that he was beginning to slouch and nudged him sharply with his elbow, causing Alastor to straighten up and begin to pay attention to what was being said as he fought off the urge to gnaw on his thumb.
He's thankful when the meeting ends and that he gets to go home.
That's gratitude, however, is short lived.
"You'll be coming home with me. Anthony and I-" Husk always refused to call him by his stage name "-have a date night. You'll be expected to fetch him whatever he wants. If he wants more wine you'll get him more wine. If he needs a new napkin, what will you do?"
"Get him a new napkin" Alastor responds with irritation which is responded to with a yank of the chain.
"Remember your place." Husk growls out as he yanks him to follow him.Back at Husk's house, Alastor stood in an overly fancy dress shirt in the corner with a waistcoat and plain black trousers in the corner where Husk has told him to stand.
He felt like he was being punished and being punished made him feel… oh… oh no… he forced himself to push the unwanted feelings from his mind as he stood there with a faltering smile again.
Husk snapped his fingers at Alastor to get his attention, gesturing at Angel's empty wine glass.
Sighing, Alastor picked up the expensive bottle of red wine and approached the table. He poured it silently and retreated back into the corner where he was once again left, thankfully, unnoticed.
He couldn't fight it off any longer and his depressed regression came down on him in one. It was now he was thankful neither of them were paying any attention to him and lost in his own world. He slipped his thumb in his mouth which provided him some comfort and slid down the wall to sit on the floor, watching as the rest of the dinner played out.
