"Run!" Moxxie shouts as he pushes Millie out of the way. The machine that was infront of them exploded, sending Millie flying back as well knocking Blitz on his feet as he had just run into the room. A strange light surrounds Moxxie and then he vanishes. There was no trace of him, nothing at all.
He was just... gone.
Millie's eyes widen along with Blitz as she slowly crawls over to wear Moxxie was, disbelief and fear consuming her.
"Moxxie..." She mutters as she starts to hit the ground. Her sadness and rage consuming her from the loss of her husband. Tears spill from her eyes as she continues to punch the ground. Behind her Blitz stares forward, his eyes widened and a regretful look plastered on his face. He stumbles forward slowly as his eyes shake slightly, tears threatening to run down his face. He shakes his head, forcing the unwanted emotions away. He put a hand on Millie's back.
"Come on Mills, its time to leave" Blitz says as he looks away from her.
"No Moxxie could be in trouble we need to wait for him!" Millie shouts her enraged expression softening for a moment. However, deep down she knew her words were false.
"Mills-" Blitz says quietly.
"It might open up in a few hours" Millie continues.
"Millie-" Blitz attempts again.
"Or-" Millie starts.
"MILLIE!" Blitz shouts as he immediately gets down on his knees and grabs her shoulders forcing her to look him in the eyes. "Just stop Mills, hes gone..." Blitz says as his eyes start to water ever so slightly. Millie hangs her head down, tears continuing to spill. Blitz stands and gets his phone out from his pocket. He quickly wipes away a tear before calling Loona.
"Hey Loona, were ready" Blitz says before hanging up. Moments later a portal opens and Blitz puts a hand on Millie's shoulder. She stands and runs through the portal, shoving past Loona who just so happened to be walking by. Loona stumbles before turning to yell at Millie, but she was already out the door and down the escalator. Loona blinks in an annoyed confusion. She looks over to Blitz who walked through the portal slowly. His usual smile and bright expression removed. Now his expression was dark and lost.
"Dad?" She askes, attempting to cheer him up. But his expression doesn't change. She puts a hand on his shoulder and turns him to her. "Blitz whats going on?" Loona askes.
"Moxxie's gone" Blitz says, Loona's brow raises.
"Like captured by humans again, that dumbass" Loona says as she shakes her head.
"No! He's gone..." Blitz states as his voice starts to break. Loona's ears fall back, signaling her sadness. She brings Blitz into a hug and Blitz slowly starts to sob. The next few months were difficult fall the entirety of I.M.P mourned the loss of Moxxie. Loona didn't show it but she was regretful of some of the things she had said to him. Blitz was filled with regret, feeling as if he was to blame for taking Moxxie on the mission. Millie didn't even show up to work for a month, and when she did everyone could tell she wasn't the same. As well as not being able to be even a shadow of her former self for a long time to come.
Millie got a call from Blitz in the morning. She sluggishly awakened.
"What do you want Blitz" Millie asked, her tone deflated.
"Hey Mills, how would you like to visit the wrath ring for some harvest bullshit?" Blitz askes, trying his best to sound as happy and uplifting as possible, a shallow attempt to raise her spirits.
"The Harvest Moon Festival? yeah I'd like that" Millie says as she smiles slightly, a now incredibly rare occurence. She hung up from the call and for the first time in a long time, she was genuinly excited for something.
The harvest moon festival went by without much trouble and Millie's once disapproving view of Moxxie was pushed aside as they comforted her and recognized his efforts of brave and in joe's eyes 'manly'. Suddenly there was the sound of explosions and screams Millie, Blitz and Loona ran out and attempted to fight them off. However, the angels were far to strong. Millie was sent flying back from a powerful punch from an angel. The angel stood above her as she weakly looked up. It raised its spear ready to finish the job and Millie smiled. Maybe now she would be reunited with Moxxie in another world. Millie flinched as something wet hits her body and face. She opens her eyes and sees a fist slammed straight the chest of the angel, its crushed heart in its attackers hand. The other angels notice immediately starts their assault on the new attacker. However they were killed py the powerful demon. The demon turns to Millie, and approaches her and Millie stares up the angel killer in fear. The intentions of this large and clearly powerful individua were unclear to her. She needed to be ready to do whatever this demon wanted.
"Who are you?" the demon asked, his powerful voice echoing out. It was not deep, it was just loud and commanding.
"M-M-Millie" She stammered out, the uncharacteristic fear that roared deep within her signaled just how much she knew she was outmatched. Then the demon holds out his right arm, Millie was momentarily confused. Her eyes ran down his muscular arm until her eyes locked with something. A piece of jewelery, a bracelet...
A bracelet that held so many memories...
"What this honey?" Moxxie asked her beloved wife as he looked at the bracelet that she had placed in his hands.
"It's a bracelet baby, one that I made just for you, its to remind of even if im not with you, I will always be by your side" Millie said with a caring smile. Moxxie smiled as his eyes softened at his wifes kind and loving gesture.
"C'mere" He said as he embraced Millie with a tight hug.
She looked up at the demon in disbelief. There was no way, it couldn't be. She had seen her beloved die right infront of her eyes. But... was there a chance?
"...Mox...?" Millie questions, her voice so quiet a whisper was loud.
"You've grown honey" Moxxie said, his voice losing its commanding tone. Millie's eyes water as she hugs him tightly.
"When did you get some damn big?" Millie questions as she sobs into his arms.
