In ShadowClan

"There is that flea-pelt, Snowpaw." hissed Whiteflake softly. "ThunderClan, attack!" Meowed Blueheart. Whiteflake launched herself at Snowpaw. "Gotten slow, Slowpaw." She taunted him. "It's Snowwinter!" he said, offended. She responded by scratching his nose. "Should be Slowwinter. Perhaps Blackstar didn't want to offend you." Any response from Snowwinter was not heard. "HOW DARE YOU!!!!" roared Blackstar "YOU HAVE WON THIS BATTLE," his voice dropped menacingly, "leave or my warriors will kill Bluebellpaw." "ThunderClan, we leave!" yowled Mosstar. "ShadowClan has threatened our apprentice. We will be back though." When they got back to camp, Mosstar called a Clan meeting. "Let all cats old enough to catch their own prey join here beneath the Highledge for a clan meeting." "I wonder what she wants," murmured Alderheart to Thornfeather. "Whiteflake, do you want to become deputy?" "I do" meowed Whiteflake. "Then by the powers of StarClan you will be deputy until I fatally die and you receive your nine lives." 'Whiteflake, Whiteflake, Whiteflake, Whiteflake, Whiteflake!" yowled the cats below. "Time for the gathering," yowled Mosstar. Whiteflake headed to the gathering but she was practically tripping over Alderheart and Thornfeather. "Deputy!" exclaimed Alderheart, "great job!" Thornfeather pushed Alderheart into the lake and scrambled up on the tree-bridge beside Whiteflake. "Hey! What was that for?" said Alderheart. Whiteflake ignored those two toms and padded onto the island. Whiteflake hopped on to the tree root. The other deputies greeted her coldly."Cats of all clans, I have a new deputy. Her name is Whiteflake. ThunderClan has been blessed with good hunting." Said Mosstar. As the other leaders gave their reports, Whiteflake spotted Snowwinter. He was watching her. Snowwinter looked away quickly. "That is all!" said Amberstar, the RiverClan leader. Whiteflake pretended not to notice as Slowwinter went over to her. "Hey," he mewed. "Go away!" She hissed. "Why?" He asked. "Because we're leaving and we're not in the same clans!" She mewed knowledgeably. He rolled his eyes. "Do you think I don't notice?" He asked. "How about we meet at the border tomorrow at night?" He asked softly. Whiteflake knew it was wrong, but something in her mind made her think again. "Sure." She mewed. At moonhigh... She crept out of camp to meet Snowwinter at the border. Once she reached it, she hid inside a bush until she heard something call her name. "Whiteflake." "Who is it?" She shifted so she could peer at the cat. Snowwinter! She thought happily. She scrambled out of the bush and wove around him. He stiffened in surprise. "I thought you said you didn't want to come ." He purred softly. "I know, but my heart told me to come." She mewed. He shoved her with a paw . "Stop making it so mushy!" "Sorry, toad-face." She purred. "What did you call me?" He growled playfully. "Toad-face." She purred. "I'll get you for that!" He rolled onto her and played away. "Would you like to meet again next time?" He asked nervously. "Of course, I loved spending time here with you." She purred. "In that case, would you like to be my mate?" He asked. "Of course! And if I have kits, nobody will suspect you since there are two brain-dead toms mooning over me." She rolled her eyes. "Mmph!" Snowwinter stifled a laugh, though not very successful. 2 moons later...Right after a gathering "I'm not surprised you didn't go to the gathering today," mewed Mistbreeze, who had kits 7 moons ago. "Hrmm?" She murmured, half awake. "I said..." Her voice drifted away as Whiteflake fell into deep sleep. She was dreaming of Snowwinter. Snowwinter. She thought dreamily. The next day... "Did you hear what I said yesterday?" Asked Mistbreeze. "No," Whiteflake yawned. "Well, I said that I wasn't surprised that you didn't come to the gathering yesterday." "Why?" She asked, "I'm sorry I didn't hear you, I've been really tired this past moon." "That's totally normal since you're expecting kits." She mewed. "What do you mean?!" She exclaimed. "Are they Alderheart's or Thornfeather's?" She asked. She thought for a moment, Alderheart was brainless but he was strong and Thornfeather actually used his brain but he wasn't as strong as Alderheart. . "Thornfeather's," she mewed. "Oh," Mistbreeze mewed unexpectedly. "I always thought you had your eyes on Alderheart." "No! He's a mouse-brain!" She exclaimed hotly. "Oh, I think he's a mouse-brain too!" Exclaimed Mistbreeze. "The only tom that's handsome is Adderwing." She sighed dreamily. Adderwing was Mistbreeze's mate. He wasn't that bad. When Mistbreeze finally fell asleep, she crept out of the warrior's den and waited at the ShadowClan border. "Whiteflake? Is that you?" Asked Snowwinter. "Of course it is." She mewed crossly. "Can't you smell?" She sniffed, all ShadowClan cats always did have bad smelling." Her eye twinkled mischievously. "What is it? I know you wouldn't just come over to the border to mess with me," he mewed. "Oh, yeah, I'm expecting kits!" She mewed excitedly. "Mine?" He asked. She swatted his ear. "Of course mouse-brain. But don't be surprised, I told Mistbreeze that they were Thornfeather's ." Snowwinter's eyes grew sad. "I wish you could come to ShadowClan with me." "I wish you could come to ThunderClan with me," she mewed. "I know." He sighed. "Snowwinter!" A voice called from behind him. "Oh, it's Mistypool, she has a major crush on me. I'm not really interested in her at the moment, she's pretty and all the toms in the clans love her, but she is a total mouse-brain." He mewed, annoyed. "Coming!" He responded. "I'll see you later, come meet me at the border when the kits are born!" He whispered to Whiteflake. Whiteflake nodded. She ran back towards camp, but ⅙ of the way, she was already panting. I guess I could hunt for a bit. She thought. She tried to go for a plump pigeon but landed on her side with a thump. Frustrated, she ran back to camp, panting. "Are you okay?" Asked Mosstar. "Yes, just tired." She replied breathlessly. "You should go to the medicine den, just in case." Mosstar suggested. "Ok." She sighed. She reluctantly went to the medicine cat den, Dandelionleaf, the medicine cat was sorting herbs. She looked up when she saw her waiting at the entrance, she mewed, "what's wrong?" "Nothing, Mosstar sent me to get a checkup." She replied. "Ok," she shrugged. "Thanks," she mewed. After she did the checkup, she fortunately didn't check her belly, which was barely swollen, she still could fight as well as any cat! "You're good." She mewed, "now get out!" Dandelionleaf's temper was short, but she was a good medicine cat. Mosstar was waiting for her in the middle of camp. "Everything alright?" She asked. As Whiteflake opened her mouth to reply, her voice was cut off by a shriek. "Attack!"
