"It's ShadowClan!" Mosstar gasped. Whiteflake saw a stream of ShadowClan warriors stream into their camp. She felt claws dig into her pelt and unbalanced, she fell to the ground with a thump. It was Grasspelt, a senior warrior. "ThunderClan warriors are so unbalanced!" He sneered. He flipped her onto her stomach, leaving her belly and throat exposed. She fought to get away, she looked around, seeking for help, but all of them were fighting. She felt claws dig into her throat as blood poured out of the deep gap, she fougt for breath as darkness pressed against her, but she fought on. "Whiteflake!" A voice gasped from far in the distance. She felt the weight lift off her as blood poured and poured out of her throat. That was the last thing she heard and saw before darkness engulfed her completely and brought her into the comforting darkness. She woke up surrounded by blurry shapes moving around her. "She's awake." A voice murmured. "Is she all right?" Two worried voices asked . "I don't know, the blood from her wound on her throat is still bleeding." A voice mewed worriedly. One by one, the shapes began to brighten, and she saw that four cats were with her, Mosstar, Alderheart, Thornfeather, and Dandelionleaf. She shifted, but searing pain in her throat made her wince with pain. "She is going to lose consciousness soon if she keeps moving." Meowed Dandelionleaf. Whiteflake wanted to go back to its comforting depths. So she kept shifting and shifting and shifting until a firm paw pushed her legs downward. "Stop that!" It hissed. But too late, darkness was calling to her, making her come to its darkness. She didn't fight, and watched as darkness engulfed her again, she heard three last voices before the searing pain in her throat disappeared . "She's unconscious." "What does that mean?" "It means that she is falling into a painless sleep." Whiteflake was running through the woods, trying to escape the pressing darkness. She saw Snowwinter, saying, "I like Mistypool better than you." She saw kits, and Alderheart attacking Thornfeather. "Whiteflake!" meowed a voice. "Whiteflake!" "Mooncloud." said a stern voice. "Let me through! That is MY KIT!!" meowed the first voice again. "moo-on-cl-ou-ud." Whiteflake tried to speak. "Whiteflake?" meowed the second voice, Dandelionleaf, she guessed. Whiteflake blinked her eyes open. She was in the medicine cat den, and Mooncloud was looking at her anxiously. "Where is Mosstar?" she tried again. "She lost a life. in her den, resting. You should have told me that you were expecting kits." said Dandelionleaf. "Sor-ry." she stammered. "If you told me, you could have stayed in the nursery and stayed safe!" Hissed Dandelionleaf. Her voice gentled, "Are they Thornfeathers or Alderhearts?" "Um... Thornwinter... I mean Thornfeather." said Whiteflake. "Yeah. Thornfeather." She said again.
