The Aylix fell backwards and landed with the thump on my carpet. Dark green blood pooling around it.
My eyes met Kalia's. She was still on the bed,her body shaking.
I looked down at the dead monster on my bedroom floor and grimaced.
"This carpet is going to stink so bad," I muttered. I heard her let out a tiny giggle and smiled.
I grabbed my black robe I use after my showers cause I knew she was cold.
I sat down on the edge of my bed. Wrapping the robe around myself. I looked at her for a moment, lost in her gorgeous golden eyes.
"Come here." I whispered, unable to talk any louder.
She crawled over to me and I opened the robe and wrapped it around her once she was on my lap.
I kissed the top of her head. Stroking her deep gold hair.
"It's ok, Kal." I said, a little louder this time.
She twisted to meet my eyes. "What did you do to the Aylix?"
I sighed, debating whether to keep my secret from her or not.
I decided to tell her. She already knew most of my secrets anyway.
"I used my second halda." It felt strange to say the words aloud. It was as if I was in front of a thousand eyes all staring at me.
She frowned, confused. "What?"
I repeated myself. "I used my second halda."
"Hold on, you mean prince Alerin of Nareth is one of the one in a million Daylights and Nightstarel to be born with two haldas?"
I stayed silent for a moment.
"Yes, I am."
The frown was replaced with a curious smile.
"What is it? Can you see the future or something?" She asked.
I laughed. "No I have something better."
Kalia looked intrigued. "Better, huh?"
I nodded. "I can make weapons from darkness." I said into her hair.
