It was Thursday, which meant Simon was working at the Tangy Sweet Shop. He was paid to work there three days a week. It was owned by Piggy's aunt.

"When will the twins be here?" Piggy asked. He was packaging candy to send out because clients were slowly trickling out.

"By 4. They have to get Olivia." Simon responded. He was sorting through money.

"Olivia Merridew? Why?"

"She came up with this prank. She's also one of our friends."

"An eight-year-old is our friend?"

"She's my friend. I don't care if you like her or not. We're just using this as a meeting location."

"So I don't matter?" Piggy asked, sounding hurt.

"You're still our friend," Simon sighed. Ever since he started hanging out with the twins, Piggy thought they were no longer friends. "But this prank doesn't involve you."

"Why does it involve you?"

"Olivia came up with the plan. I will help her write whatever she needs to, Sam is buying stuff, and Eric will plant it."

Sam and Eric had told Simon what the plan was after he held the materials for them. Olivia said she wanted to write fake love letters and plant them in Ralph's locker. They agreed, since it was a seemingly harmless prank.

Currently, Simon was waiting for the twins to get Olivia and come to the sweet shop. Simon and Olivia had been carefully crafting the love letter since Tuesday, and they would plant it tomorrow. Sam had bought a few small gifts while Eric planned when to put them in his locker. Eric was also going to plant a gift on Ralph's desk before homeroom every Friday.

The bell on the door dinged as it was swung open. The twins sauntered inside with grins on their faces. Olivia ran over to Simon and hugged him.

"Best friend! I missed you!" She giggled happily as Simon

"I missed you too, Livie." Simon had begun to call her the nickname after he heard Jack call her that.

Simon took the letter out of his backpack and set it on the table. It was all written. They just wanted to go over it one more time to prepare the final effects. Eric picked it up and started reading it aloud.

"Dear Ralph. Okay. Solid start." Eric decided.

"There's no need to comment on everything. Just read it." Sam said.

"Okay, okay." Eric cleared his throat and started again. "Dear Ralph, I have not sent this letter to worry. If anything, this letter is sent to compliment you. I have noticed you in the classrooms and hallways and, occasionally, I have caught your eye. I have kept a distance because I felt as if you would not like me back. But now, however, I have this growing fear inside me that if I do not voice my feelings, then you will find someone else. You know, this is excellent writing."
