Chapter One: Changes

Caitlyn PoV

I woke up to the sound of my alarm blarring in my ears, I groaned slightly and sat up. I turned off my alarm and got out of bed, I walked over to my closet and grabbed myself an outfit for the day, I then walked into my bathroom and placed the clothing on the hooks. I undressed from my pajamas and hopped into the shower, as the water hit my skin, It immediately woke me up. I washed my hair and body and got out, I dried myself off and got dressed. I checked myself out in the mirror and left my bathroom.

Today is the first day of school, also the first day of Piltover high, allowing people from the undercity to join our school. I'm honestly excited, I love when change happens, especially good change. I grabbed my textbooks and other things I needed for school and put them in my bag, I then threw it over my shoulder and headed downstairs for breakfast.

"Good morning dear, breakfast is on the table," My mother said.

"Thank you mum, " I replied, I sat down at the kitchen table and began eating.

"You know Caitlyn, Zaunites are now joining your school, " My mother said.

" I'm well aware, I plan to make them feel welcomed. " I said.

" I'm very glad to hear that, " My mother said.

She used to hate the people of the undercity, but now she just wants them to feel welcomed into Piltover. I'm happy about the change, it means more students in classes and maybe some more friends... Hopefully.

I soon finished eating and put my plate in the sink, My sister then came down and I looked at her.

"You got up late," I said.
"I accidentally slept through my alarm, I'll bring breakfast to school," she said.

I nodded my head, she grabbed her food and put it in her lunch box. We then kissed my mother and father on their cheeks and left for school. We saw our best friends Jayce and Viktor and walked over to them, they both looked at us and smiled.

"Good morning Cait! Good morning Sawyer, You seem to be in a good mood Cait," Jayce said.

"New change is happening! Now Viktor can come to school with us and other people from Zaun!" I said,

Viktor smiled at me.

"I'm very excited as well, my people have never been given proper schooling, it's nice" He said.

" I'm a little scared, but I'm also excited," Sawyer said.

Viktor chuckled.

" Don't worry, you'll be okay," Viktor said.

She nodded her head and we made our way to school, once we got there we saw all the new kids standing outside. They all seemed to be happy, some a little annoyed. But overall, I hope to make them feel welcomed and that's all that matters.

Zaun is finally getting better treatment than they once did, they have better jobs and more. Now they have schooling, I'm very happy with how the world has changed.

Jayce, Viktor, Sawyer and I walked into the building and got our schedules, I found where my locker is and I put the combo in. I opened it and the three looked at me.

"Our lockers are in different halls, are you going to be okay?" Jayce asked.

I nodded my head and they walked off. I placed my bag in my locker and grabbed my first class textbook, I grabbed one of my notebooks as well and as I went to shut my locker, it was shut for me. I sighed and looked at Sevika.

"What is it this time?" I asked.
"Heard Zaunites are now allowed in our schools, thanks to your fucking mother." Sevika said.

I rolled my eyes at her.
