hanako tried finding yuuka. him and yashiro looked for her a lot over the week after she was summoned.
"oh come onnnnn.. you awake her, and help revive her rumor just for her to disappear and not even thank you?? I feel like she's avoiding us." hanako said, after yet another hour of unsuccessful searching.
"I don't know .. maybe you're the reason why we can't find her? I mean the moment she saw you, she ran away. maybe she knows you." yashiro said.
"but she went dormant in 1968. I didn't become a ghost until 1969." hanako said.
"that's weird.. maybe she knew you when you were alive?" kou asked. he tagged along this time to look for yuuka.
"kou, that's genius thinking. hanako, why don't we search without you for a bit, and see if she'll reappear?" yashiro said. kou looked away blushing a bit at her compliment.
"aww okay. but if she becomes aggressive make sure to find me. I'm sure kou will be able to protect you though" hanako said with a smile.
"I don't think she'll become aggressive. she seemed sweet. also I think I still have a deal to make with her, I could use the protection. we have to fight apparations every once in awhile, she could be useful." yashiro said, "well, me and kou should go look now. I'll tell you if we find her!!"
< about an hour into searching >
yashiro and kou went to go check her boundary again. and surprisingly, she was there.
"YUUKAA!!" yashiro yelled, yuuka turned her head and saw them.
"that ghost boy isn't with you right?" she asked as she came up to yashiro.
"no! but why do you avoid him though? it's not like he's gonna attack you or somethingg" yashiro said
"we have.. history.. from back when I was alive. he either doesn't recognize me, or doesn't remember me." yuuka said, "I am a cat after all, and yuuka isn't my real name. it's just what people called me when they started my rumor."
"ah.. I see.. uhm, yuuka. we still have a deal to make though, I need your protection." yashiro told her
"right. are sure you're okay with me taking memories?" yuuka asked
"I'd rather forget some things than die." yashiro answered
"okay then." yuuka said, she shifted out of her cat body to a human one, and she held her hand out.
yashiro shook it, and stared at her in shock. dang.. yuuka was pretty. but she transformed back into her cat self after the handshake.
"any questions before I go?" yuuka asked.
"yeah.. do I have to like call out your name or something to alert you of danger or..?" yashiro questioned, she was super confused on how this would work..
"no. I'll sense your in danger. well then, I need to go now. if you ever need to find me, you can summon me in my boundary. you don't have to bring an offering anymore, or wait for midnight, since we have a contract now. but please, never bring that ghost boy with you." yuuka said, before disappearing into thin air.
when yashiro and kou went back to hanako, they told him everything. yashiro described her appearance to hanako to try and get him to remember her but it was to no avail. there were many girls with h/l h/c hair after all. and yashiro was so shocked by her appearance that she didn't get to see what her eye color was. hanako tried thinking of every girl he wronged during his life, but he just couldn't remember.
"I need to find her and speak to her. do you think we could summon her, and then I can trap her before she can run away??" hanako asked
"no.. first of all, she can teleport, second of all.. I don't want her to hate me. I told her I wouldn't bring you over there." yashiro answered, she wanted to help hanako find out who she was, but she didn't know how.
the lunch bell rang and kou and yashiro realized they skipped half the day..
"lets go to the rooftop for lunch!!" kou said. yashiro and hanako followed him up the stairs to the roof.
yuuka was there. gazing down at the edge of the roof. hanako hid behind the silver boxes (I don't know what they're called), and sent hakujoudai to look at them.
"yuuka? what're you doing up here?" yashiro asked.
"this.. this is where I died.." yuuka answered. still staring down, she seemed as if she were in a trance.
hanako couldn't wait any longer to talk to yuuka, and he came out.
"yuuka, I wanna know who you were when you were living so I can find out what I did to make you hate me so much" hanako said.
the hair on yuukas back stood up upon hearing his voice. she couldn't teleport away for some reason..
"oh cmonn, I'm sure it wasn't that bad. cuz if it was, I would've remembered." hanako smiled.
"yashiro... you could've warned me he was here." yuuka said bitterly. her tail flicked from side to side.
"ah, fine. you're not ready to talk yet. I understand that. but please tell me sooner than later, the curiosity is killing me." hanako said, before vanishing.
yuuka turned her back to yashiro and vanished too..
