Staring at the ceiling, George, who was lying on his hospital bed, let out a sigh. “God, this is sooo boringg!" he said to himself, whining. He has tried everything to keep himself from boredom, but nothing works. He sighed once again, frowning as he stared at the ceiling.

Minutes passed, and there was a sudden knock on the door. He wasn't expecting any visitor at this hour since his family are at work, and his friends still has classes—George turn his head to face the door, expecting one of the nurse that was taking care of him to come in but to his surprise, it wasn't.

Hi.” The person greeted George with a sweet smile, a basket in his hand.

Hey.” George greeted him back, “What're you doing here? Don't you have classes? You're not skipping your classes, are you?” he raised a brow, waiting for the latter to give an explanation.

Hey now, don't think so poorly of me.” He let out a soft chuckle. “I asked the professor if I could be excused for the day.” He explained.

Oh right. I brought you food! ” The latter exclaimed. He lifted the basket almost near his face and smiled.

Thank you, Farell.”

He nodded as a way of saying ‘You're welcome’—he walked towards the bed and sat in the end of  it, placing the basket next to him. George sat up from the bed and sat next to him.

Let's eat?” George offered the latter to eat with him, but he shook his head.

You eat it. I made it for you.

Frowning, George let out a huff. “That's no fun. I won't have any appetite if you don't eat with me.

He sighed in defeat, “Alright, alright, i'll eat with you…

They finished their food minutes ago. Now, both figures were resting on the bed, both enjoying each other's presence. There was a comfortable silence in the room.

While caressing George's hair, Farell spoke up, “My graduation is near the corner… Will you be able to watch me walk on stage?..”

George made eye contact with the latter and smiled, “Of course. I wouldn't miss it.”

The latter felt assured by his words and smiled. He didn't even notice he was holding his breath when he asked him.

I'll be stronger and better once it's your graduation day. That's a promise.

Farell smiled, “Then, I'll be waiting for your recovery.”

GRADUATION DAY

Farell looked around the event venue, trying to look for him. It's almost his turn to walk up the stage, but there is still no sign of George. He looked around the crowd once more, but still nothing.

Maybe he's just late… Right..?” He thought, trying to comfort himself—yet he couldn't shake the feeling of uneasiness. He has been feeling uneasy since the moment he woke up. He felt like he should check up on George; but he refrained himself from doing so.

Once the host called out for his name. He stood up from his seat and walked up the stage. He grabbed his certificate and turned to face the crowd. He tried analysing every single face to see if he could find George, but there were no signs of him.
