(Gabriel) POV

I put Valery over my shoulder and walked back to the ladder, 'great that's where I need to be but she's unconscious'i thought, grabbing the bars i started to carefully make my way up, going higher and higher i noticed that i got a better view of the land scaping around me, still not much to look at, i had almost reached the top when there was a loud screech sounding from the large bridge to my left, 'gods please let that thing remain over there' i prayed silently as i finished climbing, there was a lamp so I sat Valery down and lit the lamp before looking around, i could hear someone coughing inside a window nearby, "hello?"  i called out hoping for a response, "hello..." i walked up to the window, "oh...you must be a hunter, and not one from around here either, i'm Gilbert, a fellow outsider". I nod in greeting "i'm Gabriel and the girl over there is Valery" he pulls the curtains back, probably to get a better look at Valery "you must have had a fine time of it, she looks as though she might not last long, Yharnam has a specail way of treating it's geusts, i don't think i can stand if i wanted to, but i'm willing to help if there's anything that can be done" he pulls the curtains back and places a bag on the window seal, still not letting me see his face, "is this medicine?" I asked, "yes, and some other medical supplies, i've no use for it now..." I run over to Vallery and pick her up to move her right outside his window, "do you think you could help direct me on how to use some of this stuff?" I asked, "as much as I can" he thankfully agreed and I got to work.

By the time our work was finished her arm was stitched up and Gilbert provided a pair of clothes that belonged to an old flame of his, "thank you is there any way I can repay you?" I asked, he had been kind I hoped I could do the same, "sadly no, ...

By the time our work was finished her arm was stitched up and Gilbert provided a pair of clothes that belonged to an old flame of his, "thank you is there any way I can repay you?" I asked, he had been kind I hoped I could do the same, "sadly no, but there's something you should know...this town is cursed, whatever your reasons might be you should plan a swift exit, whatever can be gained from this place, it will do more harm than good" I wish I could leave with Valery but the reality of the matter is we were stuck, "I agree but I am in need of Paleblood, do you know where I could find some?" he was quiet for a second before speaking, "Paleblood you say?...never heard of it, but if it's blood you're interested in you should try the healing church, the church controls all knowledge on blood ministration, and all varieties of blood" I felt Valery stir beside me and placed the clothes next to her.

(Valery) POV

I heard the distant sound of voices and coughing as I felt a dull pain in my head that gradually worsened as the voices grew louder, one I recognized as Gabriel but the other was a mystery, I opened my eyes and looked around as Gabriel and the mysetry voice spoke, "how can I find this place?" Gabriel asked as I stood up, "Across the valley to the eats of Yharnam lies the town of the healing church, Known as the cathedral ward, and deep within the cathedral ward is the old grand cathedral, the birthplace of the healing churches special blood, or so they say" I saw the clothes and took the opportunity to change since no one else was around, I stepped to the side out view of the window and Gabriel, changing into the outfit provided, "do you think they would be willing to give us access to this blood?" Gabriel asked, I knew he was trying to find us more info but now he would have to fill me in. "Yharnamites don't usually share much with outsiders, normally they wouldn't even let you near this place, but the hunt is on tonight...this might be your chance" he nods and seems to realize that I am standing next to him, "Valery good to see you're awake and changed, this is Gilbert" I reach my hand out expecting him to shake it, "hello Gilbert, since you already know my name and I know yours please allow me to thank you for helping us, and on the night of the hunt no less" what came out to shake my hand was no longer a human hand, he had claws growing from his nails and his hair on his arm looked like it was in the early stages of transforming to fur, this man was infected by the blood virus, I didn't pull back or cower as he shook my hand, this poor man was suffering enough and has more than likely faced more hatred than any human should be subjected to simply for growing sick. "i'm glad to see you're okay, sadly as you can see there's nothing that can really be done for me accept putting me out of my misery, but I refuse to put innocent blood on your hands, I will let the sickness take me...still if there's anything I can ever help you with please just tell me" we nod and i hold my other hand out, "may i see your hand one last time?, i believe i might be able to help numb the pain" he holds his hands out to me without asking any questions and i held them in mine, using my arcane and closing my eyes as i imagined myself flowing through his body like the blood in his veins, until i reached his heart, his heart was almost consumed by the infection, i moved forward to touch his heart and was satisified as the infection seemed to burn away just enough to give him more time and numb the pain, but it wouldn't stop him from turning into a beast. I pull away and look into the mans eyes through the crack in the curtain, they had tears of relief as he leaned back in his chair and sighed, "thank you, I have been in so much pain since becoming sick, thank you so much" he placed a red gem on the window seal, "please take this, it's of no use to me, I know it will have a good home with someone as kind and caring as you, please" I nod and grab the gem, "do not worry, I will come back to see you, so you know it is safe" the quiet sounds of sobbing could be heard, "thank you, please be safe on your travels" he closes the curtains back and we leave, walking to a small bridge, "here you need something to help defend yourself, we'll try to find a more fitting weapon as we move forward but this is all we have at the moment, i hope you know how to shoot a gun". He hands me a hunters pistol and some bullets to reload the gun, he was so caught up looking at the group of infected locals walking beneith us he didn't pay attention to the man standing behind a bunch of wooden boxes waiting for an unsuspecting victim, i take aim and shoot between his eyes not even giving him the time to realize i was pointing my gun at him, Gabriel jumps around "what the hell was that?!" he yelled in anger, but i just grabbed his face and turned it to the now dead local laying over the pile of now broken wood, "next time pay attention" i said before letting go and taking the opportunity check the mans pockets, there were two blood vials, those would come in handy, i kept moving forward as i shot any locals that seemed hostile, i did all of this without saying a word to Gabriel, he needed to understand that i can take care of myself, this wasn't my first time outside of Iosefkas clinic. I had to leave late in the night to grab supplies several times and was well aware of what monsters to expect here in central Yharnam, something he was not yet used to, i just avoided the larger beasts as much as i could, which is why i was caught off guard coming face to face with that wolf, especailly since i was in a dress, he needed to know i'm not helpless, "wait there's a-" i didn't even let him fifnish as i pointed my gun to the side and walked forward, firing the sleeping local that held a gun in his arms, "you were sayng?" i asked sarcasticly, i pointed to the group of people surounding the fire, "you go low i'll go high, try not to get overwhelmed with that axe dear". With that i took off up the stairs and started letting lose on anyting that stepped into view, this caught the attention of a few of the locals below that Gabriel hadn't reached yet, they canme running so i slid between them and shot one of them in the back of the knee, they fell forward and the other came at me with their sword, "ooo i want that sword!" i yelled firing through his skull, i grabbed up the sword and walked forward to the guy struggling to stand on his busted knee, i felt bad for making him suffer, the poor man was only infected after all, he had lost his sanity, he wasn't completely to blame for his actions, "i'm sorry, may you find peace"i said, he seemed to understand and stopped moving so i delivered the killing blow, cutting his head clean off, or as clean as a rusted sword could cut, his body slumped down as his head rolled forward. I stood and saw the last local on my path, he was looking forward through a gate so i made it quick, shoving my sword through his heart and gently bringing him to the ground "you're cursed" he managed to wheeze out before succumbing to death, i heard footsteps behind me "what did he just say?" gabriel asked in concern, but i didn't need his conern, "nothing" i got up and walked past him, but he grabbed my arm, "i'm sorry for yelling earleir, you were right i need to pay attention...i'm really sorry obviously you can handle yourself" i nod and he lets me go as we continue to walk around, the path we are on was fairly familiar, i knew what i needed to do to avoid beasts and Gabriel was rather handy with the hunters axe, but i'm sure he would do much better with a sawclever. Gabriel helped me down after finding a hole in the fenced that dropped down to an open path with a few infected dogs that were caged up, "these poor animals, they never asked for this" i said as one lunged against the bars in defense and frenzy, "if it helps look away, i'll end their suffering" I nod, knowing what he meant and simply walked forward, there were more of them below us so I pointed them out to him, he took care of them as I continued to look around and tried to ignore the whimpers of pain and thuds, there was the sound of a growl and feet patter next to me and quickly turned as i aimed my gun, firing as a dog came charging at me to attack me, Gabriel came running to me, grabbing my hand that wouldn't lower my gun, "i-i'm sorry, i geuss being stuck out here indefinitely is starting to get to me a bit" i said, it wasn't entirely false but i was more worried about those that we would run into who weren't infected yet, i knew of a few here who were rather rude. I also heard rumors of rouge hunters who turned their protection to the beasts, if this were true then they would be a problem, "let's just keep going" i said as we walked forward, this place was starting to get wose, more creatures and infected locals than i was used to, something about this hunt was different i could feel it, I heard the faint sound of an infant crying in the distance and turned to Gabriel, "can you hear that?" he gives me a puzzled look, "it sounds like a baby is crying somewhere" he shook his head, "no, I didn't hear anything" he gently nudged me forward, "come-on we need to go further it sounds like were getting close to an aquaduct" the distants sounds of water leaking below us could be heard as we came to a building, "did he mention an aquaduct?" I asked but he shook his head, "I want to avoid the beast on the bridge-" I stop him, "we can't just leave them to deal with the creature by themselves we need to help them" and with that I forced him to turn around and head to the great bridge.
