A week went by.
Everyone could not believe Sage's sudden death news. It was said that she suffered enough from her emotional and body damages that her heart could not contain it. The night she was sent to the hospital for the first time by Naven was also the last time they will ever see Sage. She had her last breath out peacefully that night.
Only a week after Sage's death that Naven finally mustered his strength to visit her at the graveyard. He brought a bouquet of black roses but he sticked a single stalk of white rose in the middle of the bouquet. Naven stopped by her house.
"Now I understand why you love black roses so much, Sage. It really does represents your life as you said. But, I don't like it. I hated it!" Naven could not control his emotions as a river of tears coming down his cheeks.
"So, I sticked out this single white rose for you. It means hope. I dreamt about having new beginnings with you that night. But, it's really just a dream now."
Naven continued to walk to the graveyard. He was at the other side of the road exactly opposite from there when he tried to cross it. A sudden ringing sound stopped his heart by shock when he realized he was already at the middle of the road.
A loud honk woke him up from daydreaming. He looked to the side only to find a car was speeding towards him uncontrollably. But, he did not move an inch - not because afraid, he just did not want move. Naven closed his eyes with tears slowly prickled down his eyes.
'Sage, you asked me before, do you look dull n the dress? I hate this feeling. I failed you again and again. You know, I wanted to tell you how beautiful you are everyday. You're the most breathtaking and gorgeous person I've ever laid my eyes on. I wanted to feel regret but I realized, I am not even qualified to be regretful. I deserve all of this pain. I want to meet you again, Sage. I... I love you and I always been.'
Naven could feel the pressure and ache all over his body as the car crashed on his body. 'we'll meet again, Sage.' His breath almost stopped. Then, suddenly, a hand reached on to him.
"Naven... Don't die. I don't want you to die and I need you to live. Live, for me please. That's my last 'white rose'. My hope for you to start your own beginning."
