[Starling City]
{Oliver Queen is alive. The Starling City resident was found by fishermen in the North China Sea 5 days ago, 5 years after he was missing and presumed dead following the accident at sea which claimed "The Queen's Gambit." Queen was a regular tabloid presence and a fixture at the Starling City club scene. Shortly before his disappearance, he was acquitted of assault charges stemming from a highly publicized drunken altercation with paparazzi. Queen is the son of Starling City billionaire Robert Queen, who was also on board but is now officially confirmed as deceased}
Oliver Queen stands by the window of his hospital room gazing out at Starling City with a frown on his face.
"30% of his body is covered in scar tissue. Second-degree burns on his back and arms. X-rays show at least 5 fractures that never properly healed." Dr Lamb tells Moira.
"Has he said anything about what happened?" Moira asks tentatively turning to him. "No. He's barely said anything," Lamb says as Moira turns back to watching Oliver.
"Moira, I'd like you to prepare yourself... The Oliver you lost might not be the one they found," Lamb says solemnly as Moira opens the door slowly in walks into Oliver's hospital room.
"Oliver?" She calls and waits as Oliver slowly turns around to look at her. "Mom," He says with a strained smile. She smiles back as they walk to each other she takes a moment to look him over fighting back tears. "Oh...My beautiful boy," She chokes out and hugs him. Oliver hugs her back albeit reluctantly.

A black sedan pulled into the driveway of the Queen Mansion. Oliver gets out of the car just in time to stop the driver from taking out his wooden case, "I've got it," Oliver says as he takes it from him.
"Your room is exactly as you left it. I never had the heart to change a thing," Moira says as they enter the house. Oliver gives the house a cursory glance and turns his attention to the African American man walking up to them. "Oliver. It's damn good to see you," The man says holding out his hand.
"...Walter, right?" Oliver says unsure shaking his hand.
"He's your father's friend from the company," Moira says nervously giving Oliver's forearm a gentle squeeze. Walter nods stepping back as Oliver walks past him to the staircase.
"Oliver! I knew it. I knew you were alive," Thea cries running down the staircase and hugging Oliver. "I missed you so much," She says softly hugging him tighter. "I missed you too Thea," He says softly patting her back.

[Flashback]
Oliver groans rolls over onto his back and sits up, grunting at the sharp pain in his head. "Where the hell am I?" He mutters blinking until his eyes focus and looks around him. He is sitting on a beach with a forest behind him and a life raft next to him with a bunch of seagulls squeaking and pecking at something on the raft. "God! Shut up. I can't think!" He shouts scaring the seagulls away.
"Why does my mouth taste like vomit," He grimaces as he gets up and walks to the life raft. "...And that's a dead body," He looks numbly at the dead person in a life vest, head propped up on the side of the life raft and covered with an orange bag.
"What the fuck is going on here?"
[Flashback End]
"Must be some sick joke how we both have to right over father's wrongs," Oliver mumbles softly, looking at a picture of Robert Queen.
"What did I tell you? Yachts suck," Tommy jokes walking through the front door. "Tell me about it," Oliver says wryly turning to Tommy. "I missed you, buddy," Tommy says hugging him
