Sasuke and Itachi Uchiha were twins, while Shisui was a year older than them. Izumi, a few months older than Naruko, shared a sibling bond with Deidara. Deidara, also female, stood fifteen years older than Naruko and was a member of Minato's Team 7.
During the Nine-Tails attack, Deidara, alongside Rin, Guy, and Kakashi, evacuated citizens to safety. Despite sensing trouble, she had to prioritize the safety of the civilians. After the chaos subsided, she sought help from an Uzumaki to contain the tailed beast. Arriving too late, she found her parents fatally injured, with the beast vanished. Sarutobi entrusted her with the baby, a perfect blend of her parents' features.
Discovering the Eight Trigrams seal on the baby's stomach, she glanced at her deceased parents and noticed Mikoto and Fugaku Uchiha mourning nearby. Despite warnings from ANBU, Deidara embraced Mikoto and received whispered instructions before handing over the baby and rushing to deactivate her dojutsu at a nearby lake.
Returning, she found Mikoto and Naruko playing together.
Mikoto: "Naruko, say hi to your big sister."
Naruko giggled, made grabby hand at Deidara.
After discussing their altered eyes, Mikoto shared her belief that Naruko would embody Kushina's spirit and Minato's traits.
Deidara: "She's a perfect mix of both of them, isn't she?"
Mikoto smiled. "Yes, she is. We're blessed to have her."
Deidara graciously offered Mikoto the opportunity to visit Naruko, see as Naruko was her goddaughter.
In the ensuing days, Naruko bonded with Itachi, Sasuke, Shisui, Izumi, and Deidara.
At the tender age of five, Naruko commenced training alongside Izumi, who shared her affinities for Wind, Water, and Lightning. The trio often trained with Shisui until entering the academy at seven years old, with Itachi and Sasuke in one class and Izumi, Naruko, and Shisui in another. Today, however, held the promise of something different... a cliffhanger.
